HOW TO TAME TEMPTATION
How an Eskimo kills a wolf. (He will repeatedly coat the blade in blood, allowing it to freeze, until the blade is covered. Then, he will place the knife in the snow and as the wolf licks the blood, his tongue is numbed, and his hunger is fuelled. The wolf will lick the knife, cut his own tongue and eventually bleed himself to death out of his own lusts.) Satan uses the same tactic to defeat God’s children. He knows that he can never have your soul, but he also…

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like
manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after

of eternal fire.
1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise
dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

THE IDEAL CHURCH
The ideal Church as revealed in the New Testament, like the New Jerusalem, has twelve gates to it.
1. The Christship of Jesus is the Foundation of the Church. “ Thou art the Christ … Upon this rock will I build My Church” (Matthew 16:18)
2. The Blood of Christ is the Atoning Price of the Church. “ The Church... which He purchased with His own Blood “ (Acts 20:28)
3. The Holy Spirit is the Administration of the Church, hence , He sets “ His… Continue

The ABC'S of the Christian life.
Although things are not perfect.
Because of trial or pain.
Continue in thanksgiving.
Do not begin to blame.
Even when the times are hard.
Fierce winds are bound to blow.
God is forever able.
Hold on to what you know.
Imagine life without His life.
Joy would cease to…

"Spiritual temperatures"
In the Chrsitian life there are three spiritual temperatures.
1. A Burning Heart on fire for the Lord.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us,
while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the
scriptures?
2. A Cold Heart.
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold.
3. A Lukewarm Heart.
Rev…

Soma, Psyche, Pneuma.
I Thessalonians 5: 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4; 12 For the word of God [is] living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
I .Soma –means – Body.…

Religious Museum.
A father took his son to a large city museum, thinking that the visit would entertain the boy. But for two hours the lad did nothing but sigh and complain .Finally in desperation he said to his father,” Dad ,let’s go some place where things are real.”
Some people that way when they read the Bible. They think they are in a Religious Museum, looking at ancient artifacts that have no meaning for life in today’s scientific world .But they are wrong.

Religion was invented to control people.
The average person who makes this claim generally does not have any idea who may have invented a given religion. The statement is generally made by people who are in rebellion against all authority. It could be said that government is about controlling people.
Sin has a far greater control over people's lives than religion. The God of the Bible wishes to release people from the power of darkness.
"For we know that the Law is spiritual, but…

Psychology and the Evangelical Church
________________________________________
Nothing in the history of the modern church has induced believers to abandon their faith in the sufficiency of God’s Word like the pseudo-science of psychological counseling. Consider the following: the evangelical church is a primary referral service for counseling psychologists and psychiatrists. Many large churches have licensed psychotherapists on staff. Mission agencies are requiring their missionary…

Jesus!
(Octavius Winslow, "Evening Thoughts")
What is our path to glory, but the path of
tribulation, of suffering, and of death? Our
Lord and Master, in the expression of His
wisdom and love, forewarns us of this: "In
the world you shall have tribulation."
What are all the supports of the believer in
seasons of trial, suffering, and bereavement,
but so many manifestations of the life of the
Lord Jesus? This it is that keeps…

WHAT HINDERS OUR PRAYERS
1. Failure to come clean with God (Psalm 66:18)
In his book I Surrender, Patrick Morley writes that the church's integrity problem is in the misconception "that we can add Christ to our lives, but not subtract sin. It is a change in belief without a change in behaviour." He goes on to say, "It is revival without reformation, without repentance." Quoted by C. Swindoll, John The Baptizer, Bible Study Guide, p. 16.
The sure test of the quality of…
