What State Are You In?



Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.

I do not know about you, but occasionally I wake up in a different state than the one I slipped off to sleep in. My body may stay at the same location but at times my mind and spirit go on vacation. Some trips are better than others.

Thoughts on today's verse



So many things in our lives can be stolen away by natural disasters, aging, and death. Satan could be appropriately called "The Thief of Always." But God is immovable and unstealable! We can invest ourselves in Him and know our spirits are secure in His care. He is a fortress and a refuge.

"Ye shall not go out with haste" (Isa. 52:12).



I do not believe that we have begun to understand the marvelous power there is in stillness. We are in such a hurry--we must be doing--so that we are in danger of not giving God a chance to work.
