Few people seem to understand the power of their words. Words are the building blocks of communication. Words are also the building blocks of creation. The size of a word is irrelevant. The meaning encased in the smallest word can wield immense power. Everything that is exists because God spoke a word.

“Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3

By words, worlds were framed. These worlds were not framed by things that could be seen. These worlds were framed by speaking words which, at the time spoken, were not seen. The non-existent was created by the words.

Mankind, created in the image of the Creator, also has this same creative authority. A word spoken is energized, and activates specific results.

“I create the fruit of the lips;” Isaiah 57:19a

God is explicit in affirming that our own words construct or frame our worlds. Take note of the word “frame”. Imagine a photographer or videographer who prepares to capture an image on film. Inside the camera there is an area on the lens that designates the desired components to be shot on the film. The photographer has complete control of the final product by framing what does and does not go into the picture. Even after the footage is initially taken, the film can be further edited by framing and cropping. Regardless if there was a tattered vagabond standing next to the gorgeous model or not, by framing, the shot reflects the desired outcome. By framing with our words, no matter the extra unwanted elements that exist in the surrounding environment, the undesirables can be framed out of our world.

Learn to utilize both of these phenomenal gifts. Create with the fruit of the lips, but don’t stop there. Frame. Make your words work for you. The power is yours.
