Love

John 13:34-35 Love

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”.

How do I define love? We’ll I find it interesting that as I was reading Tieltveit’s he wrote: I am also by history and conviction, a Christian. And, so love is central to my understanding of optimal human functioning. But this was after I began to answer the question for myself.

My explanation may be somewhat jumbled; however this is honesty which lead me to other evaluations of love. My personal definition of love; I must be honest is something I have come to recognize, however in a process. I have always felt emotion and concern, compassion and empathy and not just toward those I know; but also toward those I don’t know, to a great extent. When I think of those close to me; loving them is sometime’s difficult or I must sometime remind myself it is the right thing to do-love them.

But not only is it right; but something I want to learn how to express more freely everyday and without reservation. I am a peacemaker and a gentle sole and it is important to me that I purpose in my own heart to love. One must, be available to others; not just in word but also in deed.

When I know of someone who is in need and I have the ability to meet the need for them; knowing they can’t I should and without complaint.
1 John 3:17 (New International Version)
17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Being available to listen and participate in the lives of those close to me; not just thinking about what I must do all the time for me - but getting to the point where I am settled and organized enough to be able to add to my life; some-concerns outside of my own specific life.

This is not just financially; but pertains to family functions, holidays and normal days where I prefer love to just show up and act, give, share and grow. Building character, hopes, and assisting with education; making an impact that will affect positive life changing circumstances in the lives of others-is love.

And, then we can’t always give to everybody-however there are times when you see a homeless person and are lead to feed them or cloth them or maybe even direct them to a shelter. I have found that in everyday of my life because, I ride the bus; there is always someone I may see that I can pray for God to send help (when I can’t). I can always pray for that person’s mind that’s broken because who really knows why they are; where they are. We have so much cruelty in this world; people have been harmed in the worst of ways. Who will fight for them accept maybe those who will take the time and stand proxy in prayer for them.

John 13: 34-35
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1John 4:10) God is the source of love, and also the perfect example of what love is. God is love. His love is sacrificial and unconditional; you never need worry about it diminishing. It is not dependant on our worthiness to receive it, for no one deserves God love and yet He loves everyone.

Love is helping an old lady or man across the street, giving your seat to someone who needs it more while riding the bus. Love is volunteering your time and services; not expecting anything in return-no payment being required.

How do I measure love? We’ll I would venture to say true love has no measurement-it’s an endless action on whatever level needed in whatever the circumstance.

I wrote a teaching sermon and spoke before a congregation March 14, 2010 on Realms and Dominion. I have a great understanding of these topics and I see a connection; in my own opinion. We live in the three dimensional realm which pertains to the world, that we are not called too. Why because it is carnal, worldly, and leaves us in danger of demonic influence. In this arena operating in mans own strength; I question love myself.
1 John 2:16 (New International Version)
16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.
Quote: Psychologists critique love and hate it and affirm it. C. Tieltveit

In my studies I found; the realm of angels is (generally) outside of our physical space (outside the three dimensions).

In the relationship between spiritual light, mass and energy, angels act as messengers or agents of change in the prophetic sense, causing God's word/will to be carried out in the earthly/physical realm (dimensions). And - Angels are not the only means by which God "accomplishes things," (His Messiah (Jesus our intercessor), Holy Spirit (working in us and through us) and the She-kina (which manifests through our worship allowing for prophetic moves) these are all said to have such roles, operating in Dimensions.
1 John 4:7 (New International Version)
God's Love and Ours
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (God has ultimate dominion)

People must be dimension-list in the realm of the spirit to experience love. It takes more than an emotion but ownership to a deeply embedded believe you own no matter what. When you walk in realms and operate by dominion by way of salvation; love will not deplete one’s own life source, one will remain strong.
