Rebuilding Your Passion
One last try .. if no response I should seek other places...
Just as people (more in cool countries) are drawn by the warmth of a fire, non believers can be attracted to believers that are passionate to their Messiah. Adonai desires that His followers be like "a city
set on a hill." We are told to "be the light of this world". (Matthew 5:14-15; 28:19)
Yet we witness the possibilities of our fire to become no more than members. This effects our witness. I have often taught the parallels between lovers and the relationship between God and man. Many a time
a man has wandered into my office complaining "My wife is not as passionate to me as she once was." Mouths usually drop when I I ask my first question"How has been your prayer life".
We need to be aware of who we are. Is our walk with God as dynamic today as it was yesterday? Do we still yearn to get alone in prayer, pick up the "bible" , to crank up the "Tunes" and get lost in tears
and song! If we find we are drifting, do not cover it up. Seek your lovers lips. Ask God to show you what it is to rekindle the spark!
Ask the Ruah ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit ) to instruct you , spend time in prayer, read His word, do not list things you want... ask instead what honey (God) do you want to do tonight. One person shared with
me a novel idea ... they went home set out a table ... placed two candles in the center, put on soft worship music, and laid out a bible in the center. The main course I was told began in prayer. Scriptures
flowed to them as if a turkey had been carved. It was if they had too many glasses of wine they became drunk with the feeling of His presence. Crazy you say??? Don't knock it until you try it. Think about the life you can lead with Yeshua as center.
The Apostle (Emissary) Paul gives Timothy wise counsel. How to live a life pleasing to Abba. Then he adds "Be (Become) absorbed with these things" We too need to be saturated in our minds and our hearts with
the principals of God.
