My Perspective
I find myself readjusting the concept of what the Lord has given me for LIFGN every time I pray, study, or am faced with another announcement of spiritual deterioration in the body of Christ. No, it is not confusion. It is commencing a new mandate and direction; New Birthing of a very important visionary revolution. I believe a new wave of spiritual protocol has captivated the body of Christ to unite, restore, and expand. I would love to see the efforts of the people of God line up with what the Lord is mandating throughout the body of Christ.
The Protestant Reformation was a 16th- century movement in Western Europe that aimed at reforming some doctrines and practices of the Roman Catholic Church and resulted in the establishment of what we call the Protestant churches. Although the movement dates from the early 16th century, when Martin Luther first defied the authority of the church, the conditions that led to his revolutionary stand had existed for hundreds of years and had complex doctrinal, political, economic, and cultural elements. As a result there are over 33,000 protestant church organizations world-wide and new ones forming all the time.
This is why I do not want Living In Favor Global Network to become another methodology splitting off because of personal interest, glory seeking, or empire building. This is not business as usual. So the Lord has moved on my heart to declare a New Revision, protesting some of the doctrinal practices, lack of protocol, and spiritual abuse within the protestant church world itself. The church world for over 2,000 years has been attempting to enlighten the world about the coming kingdom of God. But the issues have been reduced to doctrinal confusion, glory seeking, and regulation of the Holy Spirit's manifestation.
When I sought to live outside of the country a few years ago, it was because of the lack of focus and integrity that I saw in the church world. I wanted to leave the traditional church world and retreat. Little did I realize, that what you have the strongest passion for will become your greatest ministry. All of my years of academic excellence, hard work, and endless mornings of research have brought me to this hour of adjustment.
The attack is three-fold. It is an attack on our Families, our Faith, and our Finances. The core of our relationship with God is in the supreme example of the family. The greatest intimacy we can achieve with God on this earth is the family relationship. If the devil can pervert our marriages and our parent- child relationships, there can be no unity. Our family values are at the heart of our worship. The Lord valued family before temple. He wanted us to be united as ONE, before we scattered as individuals; to be a loving, caring people of destiny. Unity is the key to the corporate manifestation of the Holy Spirit's ministry in the earth (Eph.4:3). We need to strive for unity in prayer and doctrinal wholeness. I don't mean that we all have to do and use the same methods, but we need some uniformity in our presentations and offerings to God. If Satan can confuse our Faith, we will have no hope or future. What we believe is as important as who we believe. Hollywood depicted Jesus' passion, now let's spread His purpose. If Satan scatters our Finances, we'll have no stability. Obsession with our material possessions has caused undo hardships because of our refocused priorities. The prosperity teachings of the 90's has led to some serious realities in the body of Christ. We spend too much time worrying about what we don't have for our comfort zone and less time using our resources for kingdom building. The focus should be on The Giver, not the gifts He brings.
The foundation of the church is the apostolic and prophetic anointing (Eph. 2:19). I thank the Lord for the resurgence of the ( Prophetic Office) - the release of prophetic anointing in our churches. Why, though, is prophecy often little more than speaking blessings to people? Some so-called prophetic insiders are said to sell prophecies for various-size donations. We need prophetic voices who will truly speak to the church, which daily is becoming more like the world it should be seeking to save. As a result, it is increasingly marginalized in its effectiveness. Who are the prophetic voices calling on the church and the nation to repent? Is there a real WORD from God pulsing us toward our final GLORY?
Many of our leaders are gifted orators of the Word of God. However, we need leaders with God-centered vision and character who can lead the Body of Christ into this next millennium. I believe this is the apostolic gift. - It's more than merely planting churches. Apostles should effectively motivate leaders to fulfill God's purpose. For the church to be strong, we must have strong apostolic leadership that will mentor young visionary leaders into the plans and ways of God.
Living In Favor Global Network has developed a mandate to help perfect the body of Christ. I believe the vision the Lord has given me is one of corporate unity, vision and strength. My vision is to strengthen the body of Christ by providing theological and professional training for those in ministry. We recognize that believers in the body of Christ are individually gifted, but must work together to bring about a fullness in the body of Christ.
