SERVANT CELEBRATION MONTH!

Here's to the shepherds and leaders who sit by the bed-sides of their sheep and cry over them and pray for them. Here's to the pastors who go to the jails, to court, to the hospitals, to the senior care facitilities, to the homeless shelters, to the halfway houses, to the schools, to the prisons, to the care facilities and to the hearings. This is for the pastors who sit with bankers, leaders, celebrities, politicians and people of great position and never compromise theirs. This is for the leaders whose reputation and character are one and the same!

Thank you for the christenings, the baptisms, the dedications, the weddings, the counseling sessions, the prayers and the love. Thank you for standing with us at our lowest times. You hold our hands when our loved ones go on from labor to reward and you stand with us when our loved ones pass on to go to a place of torment because they never made peace with God. You hold us and let us know that God is still God -- our God. You let us cry on your shoulders when our marriages are rocky. You walk in when those who vowed to stay with us forever walk out. You are thanked and cherished for that. Thank you for listening to us and not talking behind our back -- sharing things you promised never to share, disclose or reveal. You are celebrated for never breaking our confidence; our hearts are safe in your care. You are celebrated for preaching us happy but more for telling us not just what we want to hear but what we NEED TO HEAR! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is for the apostles, bishops, pastors, preachers, prophets and teachers who lay on their faces until the hear from Heaven. Your time in prayer, seeking God's face, seeking God's Voice and diligent bible study is shown and manifested in the rich anointed Word you bring to the people of God.

This is for the pastors who fight for the the abused, the misused, the neglected, the oppressed, the forsaken, abandoned and the less fortunate. This is for the servants who are heavenly minded but people friendly. They know that he who wins souls is wise. They know how to be wise and yet harmless as a dove. This is for the servant leader who seeks God when solving conflicts - never trusting just what is presented -- but trusting God to grant discernment, wisdom knowledge and understanding into the matters at hand. This is for the fund-raising leaders who give to worthy causes but also sow themselves -- giving the less fortunate their time, talents, gifts, prayers, love and coffers.

This is for the servants who get under the people and lift them to Heaven -- to the very throne of God.

Here's to the servants who give all and ask for nothing in return.

Here's to the prayer warriors who are never front and center, but are always standing in the right place -- in between Satan and the people -- taking blows the people aren't strong enough to take as well as all of the hard and harsh things Satan throws at them.

This is for the soul winners who share Jesus every chance that they get; who preach, pray and reach for those all others have pushed aside. This is for the people who roll up their sleeves and do the hard work of ministry -- the dirty work that no one sees but God gets glory and praise and honor from.

This is for the youth leaders that pray for the children in their charge like they were their very own because in their hearts, minds and spirits -- they really and truly are.

This is for the church mothers and fathers who call out their babies' names one by one in prayer as they go through the course of their day.

This is for the people who work in the kitchen so that the saints, the sinners and the less fortunate can eat food prepared with love in hopes that their full stomach will lead to richer and fuller lives in Christ.

This is for the people who clean the church without fanfare or hype. The people who make sure that the House of Worship is always beautiful, clean and pure. This is for the people who make sure that everything that pertains to the House of Worship whether it be cleaning communion linens and implements or changing the lighting fixtures in the House of God --God sees each and everything you do = the great things and the small things and those of us you serve want you to know that we see and thank you too!

God is blessed by the praisers, the singers, the psalmists, the choirs, the musicians, ministers of music and minstrels of God who offer their gifts to God and give their gifts to us freely so that we all might be blessed, healed and strengthened.

This is in celebration of the guards, security and men on the wall who make sure that we are all secure behind the gate of worship.

This is in honor of the technicians who make our services powerful -- those who give us lasting mementos of our time with God by making sure that the Word is taped so that we might be able to be blessed by the Word by seeing and hearing it over and over again. Thank you to all of the sound techs, lighing people and electricians who bring our lively services to an even greater light.

This is praise to God for the people without title who bend to pick up the stray paper near them -- doing whatever their hands find to do to keep the House of God in order and always looking beautiful.

This is for the booking agents who bring powerful ministers of God to our churches and gatherings so that all might be blessed by their special anointings and abilities.

Today honor and praise goes to the secretaries who take care of our correspondences, make and design our programs and work tirelessly to make sure that our church looks as good on paper as it does in person. Today is set aside to thank you for always being professional in the discharge of your duties and then always going above and beyond the call of duty so that the work of the church might go on.

This praise is to God for the holy, ethical and righteous finance heads, treasurers and stewards who faithfully count and guard the Lord's money; who treat the finance of the church as God would have them treat it -- with reverence, honor, fidelity, sacred hearts and respect. Today you are thanked you for accounting for every dime and for making sure that every dime that is placed in the storehouse is used for the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God and the upkeep of the House of God.

God loves and honors the deacons for being people of honor, holiness, power, confidence and anointing. God thanks you for being a people that we can depend upon to lead by example and to always hold the Church up before God in your times of prayer. The people of God thank you for being people that we can honor, respect and pattern our lives after.

God blesses and honors the mothers in Zion for being women of purity, strength, holiness, prayerfulness and godly example. You are appreciated, cherished, honored and thanked for being able to see more with your eyes closed than with them open. You are loved because you lovingly correcting us and always watching over us.

Dear Fathers in Zion, thank you for guarding us, loving us and protecting us from the wolves who would desire to destroy us. Thank you for always covering us in prayer. Thank you for having the Heart of God towards us all.

This is for the folks without title but who stand as giants in God because of your concern for God, the people, the Word of God and the lost.

This month is clergy appreciation month but as any one of us in the clergy will readily admit -- the only way we can do what we do is because of the faithful service and tireless efforts of us all. So this October, I just wanted to pause to honor all clergy but I also wanted to honor everyone that is working hard in the Kingdom because it takes all of us to do the will and work of God.
