If you haven’t been made aware of today’s hottest trend, “how to get your point across,” please allow me inform you.  One of the most effective ways of reaching out to others has recycled itself. 

Storytelling!

 

Most of us can relate to our early childhood education days, sitting silently while our elementary teachers would read stories from a book.

 

If these stories were able to keep our attention, it took all the composure we had just to keep still…antsy to see how the story would unfold! 

 

If the orators approach was effective, they now had control over the audience of the student, thus giving them the leverage to maintain a captivated audience.

 

Yes, storytelling has proven Itself to attract, provoke and compel others to hear the voice of the messenger. 

 

Whether the topic of discussion is speaking of our personal lives, career or ministry, storytelling can and will affect others, thus having the opportunity to move the crowd.

 

Peaking the interest of your audience, moving the topic of discussion in the direction that it needs to flow, effective storytelling directs the focus toward its intended accomplishment, allowing for a successful deliverance.  

 

When given the opportunity, speak out, be your voice! You have the ability to set the tone for the atmosphere.

 

So, whatever your message entails, remember to keep the focus of your audience, allow the integrity of your passion to shine through and always attempt to relate your experiences, with others.  People will identify. Most importantly, TELL YOUR STORY!
