PRAYER TO BREAK CURSES

Prayer to Break Curses
..> ..> Sometimes those in Christian service can suffer unnecessarily due to being cursed and not understanding the authority they ahve as a believer in Jesus to come against those curses. Those who labor in foreign mission fields, or in ministry to cults or the occult, or anyone else in front-line ministry (inner city work, jail ministry, street preaching, prayer counseling, etc.) can be the target of curses from Satan's pawns. Usually, this prayer (based on one written by Thomas White which has served us well for more than a decade) can help shatter the power of those curses against the believer, especially if you remember to put your spiritual battle armour (Ephesians 6:10ff) on every day as well:
"Lord Jesus, you have called and equipped me to follow You and to do your will. I am your bondservant. In my affliction, I ask for Your Holy Spirit to search and convict me of any sin that allows the fiery darts of Satan to penetrate my armour. I am willing and ready to repent and confess. I ask for you to reveal areas of ignorance in my life to me that may have given the devil opportunity. Lord Jesus, seek out, expose and destroy all schemes and devices of Satan that have been sent against me. I know that I am dependent upon You alone for deliverance. I ask You to turn this evil into good.
"Satan,I raise my shield of faith against you, and stand now to resist you with the Sword of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God that proclaims your judgment as a false god, an accuser of the sons and daughters of God Almighty. I am a child of the living God, and I proclaim your works in my life (and in the lives of my family, ministry team, disciples, etc.) to be absolutely and utterly destroyed. I refuse, and through the power of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I break the power of all curses, hexes, vexes spells, incantations, psychic powers, works of witchcraft, shamanism, voodoo, Satanism, Candoble, Santeria, Palo Mayombe, cultural spiritism, or mental manipulation sent to distract or destroy me [us]. I resist all demonic powers sent to me [us] from ___________ [if the name of the person sending the curse is known, speak it; otherwise...] or from any other source. I command all powers of evil to go where the Lord Jesus Christ tells you to go by the voice of His Holy Spirit. I bless anyone who is cursing me [us] and claim them for salvation and eternal life through the cross and the blood of Jesus, in Whose mighty name we pray, Amen."
