New life in Christ Jesus is awesome. Becoming a child of God takes your breath away, and fills you with the Love of God that will never leave or forsake you, or fail. Thank You Jesus. As we journey here on earth in our new life in Christ, have you ever considered that your new life is 'prayer-life'. By this I am pointing to the fact that when we get saved, we are in communion with God our Abba/Daddy 24/7.

While prayer is something we do, isn't it something we learn from our Spiritual Father and Mother (as in Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the Words, and yet we are instructed to let the Holy Spirit, the comforter and nurturer lead and guide us into all Truth, even of these words. I believe that Jesus spoke the words as a truth and a WAY to commune with Father God. Andrew Murray has a book out called 'With Christ In the School of Prayer' that I read years ago, and still refer back to it. I used this book as a foundation to introduce those new in Christ, and those who had been in Christ for years. I did an outline, approved by the publishing company, that I could use as people read and study this book.

This book began my journey into 'prayer-life' While prayer is something we do, oh yes, it is part of who we are. We are communing with God, personally and intimately and this is life, not just function. While you do pray, it is who you are and whose you are that makes your thoughts, feelings, and words powerful in and of God.

As a child learns how to speak to his parents, so we learn how to speak to our heavenly Father/Mother. And for those of you who are questioning the mother part, I refer you to Genesis 2:24,

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother . . ." who is speaking here, and what father and mother as this is still in the garden before the temptation and fall. I believe it is God speaking, prophesying what was to come. God who knows the end from the beginning was speaking here.

God is all in all, and is not limited in any way. I also invite you to read Genesis 1:26, 27:

"Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likness, . . ."
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He create them."

That is another teaching/blog, for now I want to point out that God is our heavenly Father and Mother, and we learn how to communicate with God and this communicating is prayer. Speaking to God, seeking God, asking God, believing, God, thanking God -- this is what we learn to do, as we grow in God -- in what I call prayer-life.

More to come.
