A Little Girl's Journey To Jesus-[A gift for Fay]

This is a story about a young girl's journey to Jesus. Fay, at the tender age of 12, she was expecting this Christmas to be greater than the ones before. Every year at Christmastime, there were either gifts for her elder brother [Punkin] and herself under the Christmas tree or a gift and beautiful decorations she and her brother would put on display. Fay could hardly wait for Christmas to come because she loves to decorate because she likes making things look pretty; and Christmas was a good time to do this, matter of fact any holiday was a good time to decorate. And, every Christmas, somehow God would provide a Christmas meal. A neighbor would come by a day or two before that day and hand Fay's mom a Turkey with all the fixin's, and somehow Fay could bake a cake. This family was very impoverished since her father had left them and her mother was using what simple skills she had to keep food on the table. The government provided shelter for them. Fay was always discontent with their life of poverty and often dreamed of a better life. Poverty was so painful, she loathed it with all her heart. So much, so, that Fay was continuously looking for a way out. She started many businesses and helped other people with their business by the ideas she would somehow imagine. When the people listened they were blessed because their business would prosper. "This Christmas is going to be the greatest Christmas ever"! Fay exclaimed. Talk about great expectations! Everyday during the month of December, Fay would come running home from school with much anticipation that something would be there. They had to throw out their old Christmas tree because it had got ruined by water. The basement had flooded earlier that year and the water from the flood had destroyed everything that was stored in the basement. All the decorations for the holidays were ruined. The Thanksgiving decorations, the Fourth of July decorations, Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. was ruined by the flood. But, that didn't stop Fay from believing that something good was about to happen this year that would rival all Christmases and holidays of all their lives. As she entered the house looking for anything remotely resembling Christmas, decorations because she wanted to get that started and all would be in place, or some wrapping paper for the gifts, even some cake mix so she could bake for the fesitivities etc. Nothing was there. The cupboard was bare, not even a Christmas song filled the air as it had every year. Feeling a bit disappointed but not discouraged Fay simply asked her mom, Mom, where are the things we need to get started with for Christmas. I feel like we're going to have an extra special one this year; don't you?" Her mothers response was, "I don't know dear. I don't know what will happen this year. Maybe Christmas is cancelled." "Oh, no! Don't say that mom. God always supplies us with something. He always has, and He always will and He will this year." "I don't know baby, I just don't know." "I do."Fay said. And she went into her bedroom to have a little talk with God.
