This morning I woke up and I've been on this reading, praying, and meditating kick that even surpassed my own mind. I've been stuck in 1 1/2 chapters in the same book since I got up. It's not that I can't read or I have trouble understanding, but God has opened Himself up to me in these 2 chapters. Have you had your bread for today? I pretty much had bread and meat (spiritually).

That wasn't what I wanted to talk about, what I wanted to share was these 2 scriptures I heard inside of me while I was reading

Matt 6:33
Seek first the kingdom of Heaven and His RIGHTEOUSNESS and the rest shall be added to you

Matt 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for RIGHTEOUSNESS, for they shall be filled

I know we have read these time and time again, memorized the scriptures, quoted them back and forth. But trust me when I tell you this ya'll...Jesus meant it, and He still means it. God breathed on these words to me today, and I'm telling you all that these are not just mere words anymore. Heck, they never have been. But this is serious as ever now. Whatever we want the most, we're going to do whatever we have to. Just to get it, won't we? So take what I'm about to tell you and live off of it.

God has been watching our pursuits. Basically what we have placed in front of our faces and minds eye as a goal to accomplish, or what we would call a award, a finish line affect, a priority, our objectives, etc. And if we observe ourselves, we may find that we have been chasing the wrong thing the whole time. Some of us have obtained what we were going after, others are just still frustrated and mad because it hasn't even been in there reach. But what I want to share with you all, as I am going through it with you, is that we should make Righteousness our main pursuit. Some of us have been asking ourselves or God "I've been doing this for a looong time" or "How come it seems I get so close and the door closes" or "How come what I have been believing for hasn't came to pass yet". Well, let me ask you this: Have you ever pursued righteousness?

Let me say this: If you have been, for the past years, the type of person to humbly pray to God, seek His face, fast and pray, go to church and all that; And then when God gives you something, ALL OF THAT STOPS. God has been watching that, and in order for you to grow, He's not just going drop stuff in your lap that easy until your "hunger and thirst for righteousness" overrides the manifestation of God's promises and blessings. He has you right where He wants you. If you'll just let Him, God is trying to grow you into maturity. Where the stuff isn't the reason why you love and live for Him. Jesus wasn't lying when He said it. When you seek righteousnes, the other things will come.

Have you heard someone say "I'm content. But not satisfied"? Well, God showed me last year, what Paul called in Phil 4:12 "The secret to being content". And I believe it coincides with the statement Jesus made saying "and all these things shall be added."

Matt 6: 19-21
Don't collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth or rust destrots, and wwhere thieves don't break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Okay Jason. What the heck are treasures in heaven then? Lol, thanks for asking.

1 Timothy 6:11
"pursue RIGHTEOUSNESS, GODLINESS, FAITH, LOVE, ENDURANCE, AND GENTLENESS." These are our treasures in heaven. Material things come and go, but these are the things we should place mad emphasis in our lives. These things "shall (always) be added" even if it rust, moth, or be solen. Without them, you'll lose them, and lose them for good.

To sum it all up, 1Tim 6:11 holds the secret to contentment. And godliness with contentment is great gain (1Tim 6:6-10)

Hopefully your appetite has changed. If so, cool. After reading what you just read, I encourage you not to just go after what you want most, but first, go after what matters the most.

God Bless BPN
