Christian Marriage Advice - Are We on One Accord?
By Randy Brickhouse Sr.

You know it's unfortunate that the subject of separation, and possible divorce has to come up in a Christian marriage. Considering the fact that we married Christians should be setting a great example for everyone else. It is sad, but true, that the Heavenly Father has made provisions in the Bible for divorce. The stipulation is for just cause. Which is immorality. The Word says that for any other reason we would be committing adultery. This suggests, that someone would have gone astray from Gods' will. If you are Christians then it very well may be that you need to get advice on marriage from fellow Christians. They will understand the dynamics of a Christian marriage, and be better able to advise you.

If you are going to have a good marriage as Christians you must be on one accord. I am not saying that we don't have disagreements, but we must disagree in love. Now, about what I said earlier, about one of you, or both of you having backslid, that can mess your relationship up. Other than that divorce should not be in your vocabulary. Whatever the reason, it is extremely important that you seek a counselor to help you save the marriage.

The advice that you may get from secular marriage counselors can be good, but get guidance from a Christian counselor. That would be a better choice to help keep from getting a divorce.

Most churches I know of have marriage ministries, they will definitely help you get back on track, and give you some wonderful Bible based marriage advice. Many churches now have marriage, and family counselors on staff. They will not just try and help you solve problems in your marriage but will help you make your marriage strong in God.

It is really important that you do not hesitate to seek out assistance. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to get back on one accord. This is no time to be in doubt, or denial. Take it to God first, then a good Christian marriage counselor. You need to get things together. Another thing you may have a problem with, is getting your spouse to accept going to a counselor. Go anyway, and do your part. The Heavenly Father will bless you for it.

Remember now, some real ugly things may come out, but you know that the truth shall make you free. You are there to get Godly marital advice. Don't be afraid, and intimidated. He did not give us the spirit of fear. Humble yourselves, and learn how you can get back in Gods' will in your marriage. It takes three on one accord to have a marriage, the way it was meant to be. The husband, wife, and God. One last thing, domestic violence is a despicable act. The Heavenly Father did not say we were to beat each other up. Take that up with law enforcement, enough said.

If having a great relationship is what you desire, then it is something you are going to have to work at. I believe we can help you.
