Today, we learned that a friend of the family, a son, had shot and killed his girlfriend. Immediately, I became grieved in my spirit and my heart began to weep for all concerned. This goes a little deeper however.

As a daughter of the most High King, I said to myself, now, someone got off their post, someone had this young man as an assignment and they left the job incomplete, task not finished, Gospel not spoken.

As I continued to ponder the situation, I couldn't help but wonder, could he have been my assignment? Did I leave the job undone? Not finished? Incomplete? Well, I do know the family, and I know the mother walks with God, but, did I do what I was suppose to do? It's got me thinking.

The bible says in Ephesians 4:11-12, that He gave some Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Evangelist, and some pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ.

Well now, what does that mean, that means that, for those of us called, those of us chosen, we are to be out working in the communities, bringing those that are lost to Christ. We are suppose to be walking the earth, preaching the Gospel.

So my question is, what are we doing? Well lets break this down. On Sunday morning we get all dressed up, and we're smelling good, looking good and we have our bible up under our arm and we're going to the church house.

When we get to the church house, we see Sister Betty sitting there in the second pew, with her bible in hand, she's been sitting in that same seat for twenty years. She's not called Pastor Betty, or Evangelist Betty, she's just Sister Betty. I could talk about all the Sister Betty's but you get the point right?

So, we're in the church house and we're singing and carrying on, folk running around the church, falling out in the floor, everyones having a good ole' time. Now, you're probably thinking, wow, God was really in the service, people falling out in the spirit and running around. NOT. God ain't nowhere to be found. The preacher stood in the pulpit and delivered the same message he delivered last week. Nothing new added, nothing taken away, same message.

After we leave the church house, we head to the favorite restaurant everyone meets at after service. We pass a few prostitutes on the way, everyone just shakes their heads. We see a few bums laying in the street and the nose goes up in the air. Finally we arrive at the restaurant. A homeless man is sitting at the door, you pretend as if you didn't see him and keep walking.

We have our meal, and its home we go to watch some TV, take a nap and relax for the rest of the day. We do this Sunday after Sunday. Week after week. Month after month.

What's wrong with this picture? When did we stop and share the Gospel of Christ? Do we not know that Jesus Himself sat with sinners? He sat with the prostitutes, the tax collectors, He sat with them all. Showed them Love. Gave them Love.

He didn't come here to save the SAVED!! He came to save the lost. The broken hearted. He came to give life to those that are in darkness. Do you think He saved you from the crack addiction so you could simply be delivered from it? Do you think He took you from that state of depression because it was the thing to do? No, He set you free so you could then go and give back, so you could bring life to that woman addicted to crack, so you could help that young man overcome depression. Your testimony is going to get someone saved. Your testimony is going to bring life to someone who walks in darkness.

Just because we go to the church house on Sunday, and we go to the church house on tuesday nights, or wednesday nights, it does not mean that is all that is required of us. There is so much more than that.

So a comrad has fallen. A life has been taken, lives have been ruined and the Body of Christ need only look in the mirror. We failed to bring the Gospel. It is time to STOP PLAYING CHURCH!!! Time up. Game Over.

Spirit of the Living God, In the mighty name of Jesus, I come before You giving You all the Glory, Honor and Praise. I Thank You for Your Loving Kindness, for Your Faithfulness, for Your Mercy Father. I come before You a sinner, asking that You forgive me of my sins, cleanse me and make me whole Lord. Purify me in the blood of the Lamb Father.

Spirit of the Living God, there is a need in the earth, your children need to seek you more diligently and be about Your business. Spirit of the Living God, hear our cry for we need direction and guidance, we need to go where You would have us to go, to do what You would have us to do. There are people dying because as a unit, as a body, we are failing them Lord. We are on an agenda other than Yours God. We seek to be selfish and not think about those around us. Grab a hold of our hearts Lord God and show us what changes need to be made. Yes, You gave us free will, but many need to realize that although You gave us free will, You would rather us choose Your will Father over our will.

Spirit of the Living God, You know the needs of Your people, comfort the family that is going through this storm Father, let them look to You for guidance and strength. Watch over and protect the children Lord. Send Your minstering angels to heal and comfort in this hour Father.

Spirit of the Living God, I know that you have called us for such a time as this, the remnant in the earth, shower us with fresh oil Lord, pour into us the knowledge and wisdom that is needed to reach Your children Father.

Spirit of the Living God, I rebuke satan and all his demonic devices this day Father. I cancel out all that he would try to do. I declare and decree this day that we shall stand in faith together and put him underfoot Father God. He has no power, nor authority. Any power that we might have given him, I take it back this day. In the mighty Name of Jesus. We walk in the Authority and Power in the earth that You have given us. In The Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen

In His Love & Mine,

Your Servant Angela
