Be Honest about Your Sin Only

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10

My mother would always tell me that people have a habit of saying they do not sin and criticize others about how wrong they are in sinning.

We must know that we all sin. ( If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John1:8 )

So don't go looking at anybody else on their sinning and look at your only. God is the only judge in town to know who is naugty and nice , without Santa Clause help. ( [ Judging Others ] “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. Matthew 7:1

We must all be honest about our sins because God see everything. If we don’t recognize sin in our life and the destruction it causes, we will not be free and we will continue to be in bondage.

Sin is disobedience to God and it does not just happen in our actions, but even more often it occurs in our heart.
We all know it would be a sin to murder someone, but Jesus tells us we have committed murder in our heart and sinned if we hate someone.

We know it would be sin to commit adultery, but Jesus tells us that if we have lusted in our heart, we have committed adultery and sinned.

We know that doing something that God told us not to do is a sin, but it is also a sin to not do the good things we know we should have done. ( Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins. James 4:17 )
All of us sin when we judge others about sinning and claim that they are not sinning. Do know that a sin is a sin and neither one is worst than the other. So be glad that Jesus sacrificed his life for our sins
to get us out of darkness and into the light with God. ( My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1 )

We must love and not hate one another., hate is a sin that God really want us to show love every day to all. He want that light to shine in us with love and not darkness.

( Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8 Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. 9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him. 1 John 2:1-11 )

There is no sure-fire way to remove all the sins in your life. The account of Josiah is just one of many examples in Scripture that show that individual sins can be conquered. Before being saved, the Apostle Paul spent years hunting down Christians, delivering them for punishment and execution. And it took one encounter with Jesus Christ to bring that horrible sin to an end. The Apostle Peter denied even knowing who Jesus Christ was three times and then went on to proclaim the name of Christ to the point that he was killed for being so outspoken. Did they ever sin again? Of course. The great men and women of the Bible were just human beings going through the same daily fight against sin like we all do. But through Jesus Christ they did overcome certain sins and were blessed for
deciding to live for God over living for the world. God will bless you for committing yourself to battle against sins that are plaguing you. And while every Christian (this author included) will continue to
sin as long as we are alive in these earthly bodies, we can trust and know that God will forgive us and give us strength and faith to fight even harder.

As I continue to be honest with myself and with God, I do get to experience freedom from sin that seeks to keep us in bondage.

Each of us can have Victory in Jesus.
