Be on the watch...Stay on the watch!

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

Satan thinks he has a right to the men and women of God. He goes to God and demands that God allows a testing our faith. Satan works to destroy us as well as our profession of faith. He looks to disgrace and distress us. When Jesus warned Peter, he did so because he loved him and because Peter was about to go through a fierce shaking.

Whenever you see the doubling of a name or a phrase in the bible it denotes God's love, favor or mercy. In addition, it it always folllowed by a warning. So Jesus prayed that Peter's faith wouldn't fail.

I won't tell you the story, I'm sure you know it.

Anyway, sometimes we walk so close to Jesus that we solely depend on His eye to watch for us. Nothing wrong with that. We should. But the bible says to watch and pray. We forget to pray and watch for our own selves. Jesus knew He wasn't going to be with Peter always so he needed to make him aware and make him ready for the world. Jesus knew he lost 1 already. He knew Peter was to go to the world and would not be able to do the greater work if he couldn't withstand Satan.

Beloved, many have forgotten that Satan has always been and still is the foe of God!. He has tried, is trying and will try to destroy God's kingdom!

We must stay on guard. We have to watch as well as pray. Our focus can't be off at anytime or the enemy will come in like a flood.

I admonish you today to be on the watch. Pray for the kingdom. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of God suffered violence and now the violent must take it back by force. Our power lies in our unified prayers. Pray one for another. Don't speculate. Don't suppose. Don't guess or figure. Satan, not you nor I, is the accuser of the brethren.

We are in the last days and the word is true. There will be a great falling away. (I believe it is because people's faith is so weak and they have put their trust in man).

Nonetheless, encourage the brethren as Christ did. Pray ye one for another as I will continuously pray for you.Watch and seek God's face. Get a closer relationship with Christ so when the enemy does come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard. And know this, the enemy will come.
