Being Obedient before Judgment Day

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15

If we follow the Word of God in the bible to live the godly way with love, caring for others, and repentance of our sins, we will look ok at judgment day, without worrying about eternity.

The final judgment will not take place so that God can determine the condition of each person's heart, for he had known the final condition of every heart before time began. Instead, the final judgment will take place so that God can display his glory to all mankind by demonstrating his justice and mercy simultaneously.

The final judgment will be entirely fair. Each person, whether destined for eternal glory or eternal condemnation, will be dealt with more fairly at the final judgment than at any previous time. God will judge "impartially according to each one's deeds" (1 Peter 1:17 ), "for God shows no partiality" (Rom. 2:11 ). God will be so glorified in his final judgment that we will cry, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and just" (Rev. 19:1-2).

Three types of people will stand before God's judgment: those who do not know Christ; those who have truly accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord; and those who have a form of religion, but not the life-changing reality.

I know we all look forward to special days, well, we all do don't we? Holidays, prize-giving's, birthdays, Christmas, Easter. How many of us look forward to the Judgment Day of the Lord?

Well some of us think not, because probably knowing that they will not be able to stay by their wrongful ways here on earth. Why act crazy, and go sinning when God looks at you to say, "you are not welcome here in heaven but you are welcome in hell". Why sin, and end up in hell, being tormented by evil and in pain forever thirsting fort coolness and water.
Believe me I love my cool weather and knowing when it get's hot outside in the 90's I feel like I'm going to pass out. Now in hell, it will be hotter and your soul will burn like hot coal, and fire all around with demons messing with you all the time, laughing, and probably turning you over and over to make sure you are cooking right.Whew now that's hot!!

So folks let's act the godly way here on earth, right now before we get judged by the almighty.

When we were in school, we try to be good students so we can get an E or Plus Sign on our report card in conduct, so we can show our parents that we have been good like the way they wanted us to be. If we did not get a good conduct on our card, you might as well think you were in hell when they started beating your rear end and you're dancing all around trying to avoid the hits, almost looks like you have a hot foot with all the jumping around you'll be doing. (smile)

My parents used belts or anything they could find to beat us with, and back then there was no such thing as calling 9-1-1 for child abuse to stop your parents for hitting you,;. ".,they might call 911 to get you butt to the hospital "

Now it's almost the same way down here, we are trying to get a good grade so God can judge us his way, and if we've been disobedient and have not repented, well you know the rest, it's the hot foot dance.

When God turns to you and says; "This very night your life will be demanded of you". How will you respond, how will you feel? Do you look forward to judgment day?

Finally, let us remind ourselves of Jesus words in John 3:36 "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."

I want to go to heaven, and stay because there are a mansion for us to stay in and streets made of gold, let me tell this story that you might have heard: There's a story about a wealthy Christian who somehow got obsessed with the idea of taking some of his wealth to heaven. Now he knew the Bible clearly teaches that you can't take it with you. But so obsessed was he with this desire that he just prayed & prayed & prayed that God would give him permission to take some of his wealth to heaven with him.
Finally, his persistence in prayer paid off. God spoke to him & said, "Okay, enough all ready! You can take one suitcase with you into heaven."
Well, the story continues with the man deep in thought, "What do I take? What are the most valuable things that I can put into my suitcase?"
Well, he finally decided, and fill up his suitcase. Then one day he passed away, and the next thing we know he is slowly approaching the pearly gates, dragging his suitcase behind him.

St. Peter met him there at the gate and said; "Wait a minute. What do you think you're doing? You're not allowed to take anything into heaven." The man answered, "You don't understand, I have special permission from God Himself to take this suitcase into heaven."
Peter rubbed his beard and said, "Well, that's very unusual. I can't imagine God letting you do that. Let me look inside your suitcase and see what's there." So the man dragged the suitcase over, and Peter opened it to see that it was filled with gold bars, and gold bricks and gold ingots.
Peter said; "Well, all right, If God said so, I suppose you can take that in if you want. But, why in the world did you go through all this trouble just to bring more pavement into heaven?"

We all need to change our ways. If we have not done so already. We see the time is getting closer to the Lord Jesus Christ to be coming back and we all need to be saved by accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior and become righteous .

I pray that you have called on the Name of the Lord. I do pray that you have received Him as Master of life. I do pray that you are walking in obedience to Him. And I do pray that you have seized the opportunity to disciple your life, bringing it under the rule of the Spirit of God for His glory and for your good. Amen.
