Happy 4th of July - " Let's Have a Good Time" - Your Sister
I wrote this to one of my brothers and I thought to share:
When I need a burst of energy I come to your page listen to that song and I have a good time and dance. I always leave happy, rejoicing and praising the goodness of our Lord. I saw a man yesterday we were both shopping for food in Wal -mart, he was ragged and very dirty but I thanked God we both were able to purchase food. Then as I was leaving and I complained to myself that I would have to fix the small crack in my car window and I saw the same man or was he really a woman dressed like a man and filthy as a device for protection, because she was living on the streets. I saw she was homeless, with two shopping carts of her possessions climbing a high hill. I had no way to get to her from the highway but I prayed that she would be safe from the dangers of the streets and right there I started praising God for His mercy " for there go I but by the Grace of God”. I will pray for this stranger tonight and probably for a long time that whatever needs to happens, happens; for her to at least have just the little I have and that she has the joy of the Lord in her heart. Tonight as we celebrate and look at the fireworks and enjoy the comforts of family and friends let us pray for the many homeless people in America.
