Genesis 29:18 (Whole Chapter)
And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

9.Genesis 29:30
And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

When one is looking for love there are no better examples then in the bible.

The love toward one's spouse burns like a fire and seeks nothing but the person of the spouse. It says: I do not desire what is yours; I desire neither silver nor gold, neither this nor that; I desire you yourself; I want you entirely or not at all. All other love seeks something else than the person of the loved one.

We see so much on the television these days of what love is supposed to be. We see commercials and television shows (Sex and The City; The OC; Allie McBeal; Dallas; and reality TV) that we think we learn everything about what love is supposed to be that we don’t need help.

We often think that God knows nothing of love, that God does not understand our need for passion. We think that God is up there in the cosmos naïve about the subject of sexuality and romance. And yet who do you think gives us our passion, our drive for love and romance. It is not an animal instinct, it is purely human. It is God given, and when used properly it can be dynamite. If used incorrectly or abused, love can be damaging.
