2 Chronicles 20:30, "So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him
rest round about."

Most of you should be familiar with the Bible's recount of Jehoshaphat setting praise at the forefront of his battle. If you are unfamiliar with this particular passage, I
would suggest you revisit our home page and locate the sermon I ministered on "The
Cure for Your Problem is in Your Praise". But for now, I will assume you know the
text.

Praise is a fierce weapon of warfare. It is what I would call a 'weapon of mass destruction' because it sets ambushment against all of your enemies. One thing the
adversary does not expect you to do when he sets trouble in your midst is your praise.
The clapping of your hands takes on the form of a strong arm and your praise takes
on the form of a combat soldier and goes to war for you. Satan was confused when Job
bowed his face and worshipped although he had lost everything. The Midianite armies
were confused when Gideon's army launched a midnight praise fest. Your praise is
your weapon.

In the case of Jehoshaphat, he placed singers unto the Lord at the front of the battle. Although his trials were pressing in on every side and it seemed as if all hope were
lost, he appointed singers to the battle field. Saint of the most High God, you had
better realize where the power comes from to push the enemy off of your premises.
Resist the devil and he will flee.

Praise creates an atmosphere which summons heavenly interruption on your behalf. Praise cleanses and sanctifies your atmosphere from demonic pollutants of doubt,
worry, and unbelief. It sets the stage, literally building a platform for your miracles,
signs and wonders to appear. And to top it all off, praise quieted the enemy. As in this
case, praise chased the enemy, overtook them and destroyed them. It quieted
Jehoshaphat's kingdom. Praise ushered in the spirit of hush-hush into his realm.
There is nothing like peace in the midst of your storm. God is giving His praisers rest
round about.
