If you search for good, you will find favor;
but if you search for evil, it will find you!
Proverbs 11:27 NLT

We bless or curse our selves by that which we choose to give our attention and focus to. Constantly looking for and majoring on the flaws, faults, and all the things that are not right in others is simply gathering seeds of bitterness, contention and hostilities into our hearts. These seeds will in turn produce a harvest of evil, unrest and ongoing controversy with others. It will destroy relationships and shut down the favor of God. There will never be a lack of trouble and upheaval where these reside. Trouble will find you!
For some being negatively critical and faultfinding is a tool of control and is used to shatter the esteem of others. A person that is torn down on the inside is easy to control. Then there are those that will readily point out and magnify the flaws of others for the very sake of trying to keep theirs hidden. Then there are those that walk in pride who exalt and try and make them selves look good by being bias critical of those not like them. Yet there are those that are negatively critical because they have taken on the nature of their spiritual father, the accuser of the brethren.
Paul’s epistle to the church at Philippi, Philippians 4:8-9 admonishes, “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” In this, we procure and obtain to ourselves favor, honor and blessing.
Peace and the God of peace can not continue with the constantly critical, fault finding and negative. These attributes are the manifestations of unbelief and the absence of love. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (1 Corinthians 13) A decision has to be made. Which lifestyle will we choose to live? We surly cannot embrace both. We become servant to that which we submit to serve.
All that the Lord desires to release in overflow blessing has been held up by the wrong focus and attitude. Many blessings remain invisible and hidden because our perspective is wrong and we are looking at the wrong thing. Choose now from this point forward to see with the loving eyes of faith of our Father God. Believe the word and promise of God. Be quick to cast down this mental strong hold of corrupt vision. This is your blessing! Amen!

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
