I was just thinking about Balak and Balaam. How Balak wanted Balaam to curse Gods people. Well we all know that's impossible because you can't curse what God is blessing nor can you bless what God is not blessing. What really struck me funny about this episode is when Balaam prayed the first time, God gave him an answer " and God said to Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people for they are blessed".

Inspite of Gods answer Balaam prays again. In his anger God says "If the men come to call you rise up and go with them, but still only what I tell you may you do. But when Balaam rose up to do what God told him to do the second time everything went wrong. The Angel of the Lord sought to slay him and the donkey protected him even to the point of speaking.

I think some of us are so hard headed that even when God has spoken, we just keep pressing on for an answer, something better than what we've already heard. We become like the Israelites in the desert when God gave them Manna they wanted Water, when he gave them water they wanted meat. Pretty soon, God just gave them so much of (themselves) of what they wanted that it was coming out of their nostrils. Let us not provoke God to anger in our pettiness. Just be humble and accept what God has allowed even when it hurts. After all He really does have better plans for your life . Its been on hold for many because we have never allowed our spirits to be broken for his.
God Bless!
