Many people I am acquainted with seem to think holiness is how you dress. That is, they seem to think it's having ashy lips and not wearing lipstick. They think it's wearing long skirts and a doilie on your head. I choose not to look that part.

When I begin to talk about holiness as a lifestyle people look at me crazy. Holiness is more than the outward adorning. It is adorning on the inside as well. It is as Paul spoke to Timothy; he told him to be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. That is, to be careful without being prudish and holier than thou when we as believer's interact with the world. Let me say here, I do NOT believe in compromising but being real!

I think that your conversation is more than what comes out of your mouth. Your life example speaks volumes to the world.

What do you say?

Minister Irons,
My Apostle has been preaching it for years and the church has been "bucking" as long as I can recall. I agree whole-heartedly!
Be blessed

Say so ! For years Evangelist Tracy , I have been telling folks that Holiness is NOT a denomination but a lifestyle that is lived out . The way you are dress does not denote holiness , nor the way you talk , but the way you WALK IT OUT ! . Holiness must be walked out daily . In Hebrew 12 :14 , the word tells us to "Follow peace with all men , holiness without which no man shall see the Lord " . So , if you cannot even be at peace with your fellow man , and treat your neighbor right , if you don't walk in integrity , how can you say that you are holy ? This lifestyle is without compromise ... either we walk in it or leave it alone . Thank you for the insight . Blessings !
