"I hold these truths to be self evident."

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness."

We, as believers in Christ have seen, heard, and have witnessed many things, that this world will not believe.

Jesus testified of a truth that was well known to Him. He came from the Father and to the Father He returned. All ministers must also testify of the things that were made known to them. This is where the ministry of the truth in Christ comes from.

We all have heard the words; "I hold these truths to be self evident."

"self"; to express emphasis
"evident"; Plain; open to be seen; clear to the mental eye; apparent; manifest.

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."

The things that Jesus testified to are the ruels of conduct, that the Lord requires that all men obey.
He testified to the Law of salvation that stated, only threw Him was salvation possiable. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. "
He testified of sin and lifestyles that would never enter into the Kingdom of Heavan.
He testified of the day of the Lord would come with great vengance upon all that would not believe.
He re-afermed the Laws of the Old Testiment and fulfilled them in open, so there would be no excuse.
Jesus testified to the existance of Satan, the Anti-Christ, Hell, the Lake of Fire and eternal seperation from the Father, to all who would not believe in Him.
He testified of the begining, and the end, of all matters concerning man and this world.

He testified of hypocracy, false gods and deamons, that would fill mens hearts with abominations and false doctrine.

He testified of His rejection from His own, and testified that a people, that were not a people to God, would become a people to God, and would make the people of Israel full of jealousy.

He testified of the glory of the uncorruptible God, and to mankind that would turn from rightiousness to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves,
who would change the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

He testified that men would turn against the Most High, who would be without understanding, without knowledge and without mercy.

He testified of the signs that those that would follow Him, are from the Father. "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

He testified of the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,
they that mourn: for they shall be comforted, the meek: for they shall inherit the earth, they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled, the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy, the pure in heart: for they shall see God, the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God, they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, and of when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

These are the testimonies of the truth. Who shall submitt to these testimonies, who shall receive not our witness of Christ?
Those that have gone astray after false gods, false religions and false doctrines. Can a man believe in God and co-mitt adultry? Can a man believe in God and co-mitt abomination, has a man with the truth also called a lier?
Can a man who says he believes in Christ, change the truth into a lie, change the word of God to satisfy his lust for strange flesh or doctrines?

Who shall hold these truths to be self evident, Jesus is the Son of God, the New Testiment came from the Father and Jesus is the only way of Salvation?
