My child I want you to know that you're not alone, for I cried for you before you were born.
For A Mother I didn't know how to be. Cause at the time I was just learning how to be me.
My body was changing like a flower blossoming in it's ripe season; I was at my time to
bloom.
Not listening to advise giving me.Now I have a baby. As I hold you close to my chest
nursing you from my breast, my mind never at one moment rest.
Now that your here, I do have fear, my days not free, For A Mother I Don't know how
To Be.
So we grow together in and out of life stormy weather, making miss-takes along the way
before we learn to pray.
See I know I'll never get it right. That's why now I must fight for my child who has gone wild.
It may seem like I left you to the streets, but it's not so you see, I had to go back and find
me.
FOR A MOTHER I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO BE.
