Is sin Greater than God?
NO WAY! So why is it our minds focus on the 'sin' in our lives most of the time and the Love of God only on Sundays?
The only link to sin is death - as in the law of sin and death -- which was given to us to alert us to the 'program' and to help us wake up so we didn't go to hell, death and the grave.
Now who bore our sin(s)? JESUS -- He became sin and bore the curse for us -- so why do we 'bear' sin still.
Growing process probably -- I mean just as a child learns from what is seen, felt, hear, touched, smelled, we new spiritual beings are faced with the same process. Why? To help us learn and grow into the image of God, not what our mind thinks.
In Proverbs 3:we find a clue -- TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART and lean not to your own understanding.
Simple, yes? Our new life is about trusting in our heavenly Father with the new heart we have received when we are born again -- the spiritual heart of God's love.
The mind, however, has been programmed under the reign of 'sin and death' law. So whatever we do in the new life, initially is walking out of the valley of the shadow of death -- HELLO are you listening?
David stated it and lived it before the salvation process was. He was not the savior, but he lived the truth as a record of God's Love, never failing, and the truth coming in and through Jesus.
Our minds are programmed from the womb, although the experience of the early years reaffirms this and our minds are sin'full' and self focused as we begin life -- we are the living souls seeds.
And we are sown into this earth, physical life. When we wake up - it is just like the seed, which first lies in the earth still, and then dies as new life comes forth. When we wake up, born again, we are quickening spirits. Is God Awesome or what? In our new life the major struggles we have are with the mind -- which is the foundation for all that we 'do' -- get it? All that we DO! So the challenge is to reprogram our minds with the Truth of God/Love.
New birth is hard for adults, because we have so many years of programmed mind set that it is difficult to let go and Let God. We have to work, as Paul gives example of in Romans 7 and 8. The renewal process is so rich, because when Paul cries out 'O wretched (hu) man that I am, who can save me . . . .' he also provides the answer 'I thank God through Jesus Christ - THERE IS NOW NO CONDEMNATION. . .'
You see the law of sin and death brought with it condemnation, point and blame - sin factor. But, BUT, BUT in CHRIST JESUS there is NOW NO CONDEMNATION -- as we are in Christ Jesus and greater is He that is in us than he (our minds and the enemy) that is in the world.
Life isn't about the guilt any more, it is about the resurrection, the forgiveness, the Love of God that never fails -- and when you look into the eyes of the one who created you, look through the cross (remembering the price for your new life was paid in full and God is waiting for you to call on Him 24/7) and see the Love, the Acceptance, the Grace, the Mercy, the Joy unspeakable and full of glory, well you rise above the death syndrome into your New Life.
