Is the Church Ready to Embrace the Prophetic?

Hello everyone,

This question is being asked amongst clergy and the pew in a disturbingly fearful way. Some clergy don't want to have to face the possibility of having to embrace the prophetic and many in the pew, who feel that they are called to the realm of the prophetic, are afraid to discuss it with their Pastor for fear of their response.

Your responses are important.

To help fulfill the mission of "Prophets in the House Magazine," I have included this question in the discussion forum of "Ask the Pastor, Ask the Prophet. Therefore some of the responses will be anonymously included there.

Thank you for your imput,
Apostolic Prophetess Janice Fountaine

Dear Mighty Woman of God,

In response to your inquiry let me share as one who has a lot of experience in this area. I have been 9n the ministry this past July for over 33 years, and saved for 38years, and Pastoring for 21 years. What I have discovered is that Pastors fear what they themselves are not learned in, therefore it will never be promoted.

Plus without the Apostolic Prophetic foundation beneath a local church it is a prime candidate to become the house of Saul. This is the flowerbed of “ambition driven ministry” and has no vested interest in the full implementation of Ephesians - 4:11 - 16 which clearly says that the fivefold ministry is to major in equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.

The house of David fought all of the wars and gave a legacy of peace to his son Solomon. David was a Prophetic / King and his son was an Apostolic / King. The Preachers today dominate the ministry and do very little to equip the saints to fulfill their body membership ministry. 65% - 70% of a fivefold ministers work should be making an investment in the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry,

For Ephesians states that this is the purpose the Lord gave the fivefold ministry from the beginning. But if you spend your waking moment driving the steam engine called the ministry rather than investing in the real church which is God’s heritage His people, we are out of balance and have gotten away from the reason we got in the ministry from the beginning, and that was to help people come to their full potential.

Jesus himself did this through spiritual parenting, and that was what He was counting upon when he chose the 12 then the 70 = 82 people he worked directly with, not including the women who worked with Him. If every preacher there is was ministering 24/7 and 365 days a year we would reach a very small percentage of the people. So the current model of ministry with most preachers spending every waking moment oiling the machinery called the church / ministry is not a biblical model.

But a minister can commit to equipping the saints and the great multitude of saints(The body) can take the gospel into their sphere of influence and we then can reclaim the 7 cultural mountains of our society.

The word of God tells us that the things which were written were written beforetime for our learning and our admonition so that we would not fall into the same trap. Well as of today human ambition driven ministry is the order of the day, and the emphasis is upon who is anointed and gifting, and not the next generation.

I am one who is very optimistic for I love the work of God, but unless it has an Apostolic Prophetic foundation beneath it, it will fall in this last day. The parable of the two houses is so fitting here, for both were of the same exact material, except one was founded upon a rock. The storm is what gave clarity to which would withstand the contrary winds of time, and it states that the one built upon sand “great was the fall of it”…

Ao Apostle Janice Fountaine the next generation is where the Holyghost has shifted too, and that is where we are to make our investment. God gives each generation its voice, but He will not allow a former generation to abort His purposes for the succeeding generations. For if the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do? Even Abraham in his journey looked for a city which had foundations, who’s builder and maker was God!

So as far as I am concerned it is a waste of time investing in a leadership who have no interest in the very reason why God created the fivefold ministry from the beginning. God has bankrupted ambition driven ministry and He is selling off its assets. This is why their has been another round of demolition of monuments of men in the name of ministry. Except the Lord build the house, they that labor labor in vain.

So if I were advising a believer who is Prophetic I would ssay do not allow “false loyalty” to be your measuring stick. I have met many believers who are loyal to people, places and things that are not loyal to them, and in many cases do not believe nor invest in who God has made them, especially woman in the ministry. I have seen to much of this, and people waste their talent, treasure and time investing in this and at the end of the day they will have to stand before the Lord and give an account of the stewardship of what he has given to hem. Many will try to excuse themselves because they were falsely loyal to people, places and things which were not invested in them.

When church leaders are ambition driven it is all about following “their vision”… The vision if it came from God is not theirs, but it belongs to the Lord, we are merely stewards of the manifold grace of God. The vision is not for the leader, but it is for the people, for “without a vision the people perish, not the leader.” God gives the vision to a leader, but it is for the people, we got it twisted.

Whatever the Lord is doing in the hearts of His people, (For that is where His kingdom is) MUST connect to what is in the heart of a person, otherwise we have a misfit. Too often people invest in people, places and things that do not collaborate with what God is doing in their heart. As a matter of fact to often it contradicts what the Lord is doing in a persons heart. This is not the way the Lord designed for it to work. Hopefully I have brought some light and clarity to what you have asked, for after years of investing in trying to bring unity in this area, the Lord spoke directly to me and said “How long will you grieve for Saul (He said this to the Prophet Samuel) seeing that I have rejected him?

So this is where I am at in my understanding and response to your statement and question. God bless..

Apostle Ricci J. Hausley Sr.

David’s problem was he was bent upon believing that God would work through the house of Saul. He was a son to saul, but saul was not a father to him. even when Saul committed suicide, he grieved for the house of saul and was looking for survivors so he could bless them. All he could find was a boy with cripple feet, and he tried to bless him, although he was cripple.

This is where it is at, so wether or not Pastors embrace Prophets is a moot question, for when they do not understand something they will not promote it. In our Prophetic College we use to require that in order for someone to attend they had to have a letter from their Pastor. We changed that policy because we have witnessed that the green eyed spirit of jealousy and witchcraft would come up every time in 95% of the cases (Remember we are in our 18th school year). So God will move with us, without us, or inspite of us. If the leaders will not get on track the Lord will politely move right past them and give them a feet vote. The entire church is not a apostolic or Prophetic church, but the apostolic and the Prophetic is the very nature of the church, and it MUST be in its nature and the local church needs to be founded upon this grace.

The best we can do is to make a safe place for the next generation and to help Pastors, leaders and fivefold ministers who desire to make the transition from the house of Saul to the House of David… God bless.
