Keep doing good for God and forgive
Matthew 18

21 The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"

22 Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

I know we hurt from people saying and doing wrong towards us but we also have to do the opposite that God is requesting of us to do. We must forgive those that have done us wrong as Jesus said to his heavenly Father when they were crucifying him on the cross. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34

Yes so don't think you are better than Jesus to not go through the same harshness that the world has done to him. He was spit on, lied about, hit on,and whipped. The same ones he has prayed for and helped with any situation they had.

We must forgive and show our love towards the world that God want us to do.

Forgive and love is the answer because you are better than those that do wrong towards you. If you are doing what God wants you to do that is the opposite of the hurt from the world, believe me or you better than them just keep on doing good for yourself and to this world.

I have a story that one of my nurse's gave me to read that Mother Theresa wrote and it really touched me dearly. We must understand that the world will be the world, and we can't change it but leave it up to God to deal with them.

Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind any way.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.
The good you do today, people will forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

-Mother Theresa-

Forgiveness changes your status from victim to victor.

When someone does something hurtful to us, we are the victim of their meanness or their thoughtlessness. We sometimes believe that there is nothing we can do about our victim status, but that’s not true.

When we forgive, we are no longer powerless, we are no longer the one who has merely been acted upon. When we forgive, we boldly stand and say, “You will not dictate the way I respond; you will not dictate who I am.”

See Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:39-41. But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

The forgiving nature of those actions takes power away from the one who would dictate our place.

I know it will be hard to turn the other cheek, because the world will come out of us quick and knock the mess out of them, but do try to protect yourself by going at it the legal way of forcing the law to work for you.

Forgiveness is not Jesus’ suggestion.

Matthew 18:21-35 and numerous other passages make it clear the forgiveness is Jesus’ command.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"

22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

26"The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.

29"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'

30"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.

32"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

Forgiveness is the wise choice. But at the end of the day for the obedient Christian, it isn’t simply
the wisest choice, it is your only choice.

People do know by me been a minister of God's word I will not be telling you a lie if it is from the bible. God do not lie!!

I face people taking my kindness for something else to make themselves look like a perfect person of lies. I have to show my love and forgive because God is looking at me and all of us. Amen.
