Let's Talk about Jesus

There is a lot of emphasis on the things the Lord Jesus Christ grants us as believers and children. However, there is not enough emphasis on the startling fact that many non believers seem also to be acquiring things that to believers seem like blessings from God.

To those believers who may feel this way, it should be noted that the principle of gaining the whole world and losing you own soul, has not diminished in its intensity. When believers start to wonder why it may appear that our God is blessing those who do not appreciate him, then those believers have taken their eyes off of Jesus and placed them on the acquisition of things.

It is true, the life of believer is full of success, but there are also stresses. Many are involved in those stresses, some of which are their own faults, but many because great destiny awaits. Either way our Lord has not changed, nor has his love diminished. Things are nice. The Lord's presence is better. Let's talk about Jesus.

Amen to all that you've spoken Bishop!! The scriptures also teach us that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.... I believe we must take God at His word and know that there is no good thing that He would withhold from them that walk uprightly before. One of the worst things a Christian can do is begin to focus on the world ways of doing things and getting things. Looks can be deceiving!! I am convinced that everything comes with a price. The wages of sin is death - sin comes with a price. Live good here and pay the price in hell later? Who? Not me !! For my God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in Glory! Give me what I need here and when I get to Heaven I will have what I want - My Mansion and My Crown! Halelujah!
