The spirit of rejection the root and doorway for many other spirits to enter… Lock your Door with the Holy Key

Most who serve within the “Body of Christ “can relate to some form of rejection we have had to address at one time or another. Regrettably most might witness … that we must be very careful that after ridding ourselves of the * “spirit of rejection” that we are not overtaken by the “spirit of approval“. The article “The Elemental Roots of Rejection" written by M. Handy holds very powerful and meaningful words. I thank M. Handy for lecturing on “Rejection”. Yet I felt compelled to address it for it must be truly understood to defeat and destroy. **The spirit of rejection is I believe the root and doorway for many other spirits to enter.

This spirit is a spirit devised by the enemy to keep one bound to the world; it is an attention- seeking spirit. It is a distracting spirit that will keep one’s focus of service and worship to God from manifesting to one’s true purpose; it is a selfish spirit, in that it keeps reversing back to self, instead of keeping one’s focus on God. It is selfish because it keeps having others re assure one that they are loved and accepted thus keeping them from maintaining their focus .It is a disturbing and disrupting spirit. And its sole purpose is meant to keep one from advancing in God’s glorious destiny for their lives and to feel the “Christ Jesus love” of one’s sisters and brothers.

A very wise sister (with a mother –wit spirit) told me these words and they helped me in the situation of rejection "When you know that you know, what you know , you will know ” In other words make sure you know that you are in right alignment with God’s word, then go forward and be fruitful with your works. Whatever your position is in fulfilling God’s purpose, exalting and building HIS KINGDOM do it in truth, in dignity, in honor, in righteousness
(not self –righteousness) and most of all do it in godly Love.

Research:
*The person who has been rejected feels somehow less worthy, unvalued, useless, depressed. Their behavior ranges anything from complete withdrawal from society due to the fact that they feel they are not really part of it, never feeling part of the world of their mothers and fathers either, to the complete opposite, which is someone who wants to be in the limelight, fearing that the light will go off, and the attention will fade.

The spirit of rejection started its journey way back in the garden, when Adam and Eve rejected the command of God.

Many people are familiar with, or at least have heard about, the seven deadly sins that are mentioned in Scripture. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us:

These six things the Lord hates and seven are an abomination to Him:

1. A proud look
2. A lying tongue
3. Hands that shed innocent blood
4. A heart that devises wicked plans
5. Feet that are swift in running to evil
6. A false witness who speaks lies
7. And one who sows discord among brethren

**“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.” (Luke 11:24-26

In his Concordant Commentary on the New Testament, A.E. Knoch offers one possible explanation:

“Israel as a nation is here pictured as a man out of whom the unclean spirit has been cast. Ever since the Babylonian captivity they have been held back from breaking the first commandment. But freedom from idolatry has not been followed by the worship of God. The place once occupied by idols is empty. At the time of the end the unbelieving nation will be forced to worship the image of the wild beast, and their state will be far worse than their previous plight.”
