Most of us don’t need miracles; we only need a reminder. How many times have we faced circumstances only to be confronted with the same old ugly, giant Goliath? If your response to the challenges of life is continually filled with anxiety and fear, then it is clear that there is a spiritual leak somewhere in your pipeline.

David experienced many challenges during his lifetime. From a shepherd boy to his kingship, the Bible records the many triumphant victories to the devastating and catastrophic breakdowns. But when David was faced with Goliath, he knew that the same God that had delivered him from the jaws of the lion and the paws of the bear would also deliver him from the uncircumcised enemy.

Goliath did three wrong things. He taunted, criticized, and ridiculed David and God’s people, he defied the ranks of the Israelites, and then he cursed God. But despite the opposition before him, David chose to use his former experiences to defeat the ugly ogre.

David did three things too, and the three things he chose to do is what brought honor and victory to Israel. He remembered what God had done for him in the past, he took his position in opposition, and then he prophesied.

The intensity of life’s battle will increase with each level, but as I have learned from experience, the hotter the battle, the sweeter the victory. Remembering the victories of the past, establishing yourself in the promises of His Word, and then prophesying to the chaos around you will lead you to ultimate victory in God.

Your attitude will determine the altitude. You don’t need a miracle, you only need a reminder. God’s blessing and grace is a lifestyle promised to those who love and trust Him.

Tilt your heart towards the SON!
