My Personal Testimony

When it came to sinning before the Lord and living an unholy life, I felt that no one could hve surpassed me. I was the worst there was. And it wasn't because I was not raised properly, or because I was just a purely wicked individual. No, all of the sins in my past were committed because I was looking for something. And the thing that I was looking for I found in Christ Jesus while sitting in a prison cell.

Whenever I give my testimony concerning the things that I did in the past and when people find out that I am a convicted felon who did time in prison, some people flinch and turn away. But the truth is, the only difference between most of them and me is that I got caught. And my time in prison compares nothing to the things that some of these people have done, and are continuing to do in their lives. Yes, I was an alcoholic. Yes, I was a two-pack-a-day cigarette smoker. Yes, I was a crack cocaine user and abuser. Yes, I was a womanizer. Yes, I was a thief. Yes, I was an habitual liar. Yes, I was a pornographer. I attempted suicide twice, and failed. In 1985 I body-slammed a woman I was dating through a glass coffee table and her brother and two friends backed me out of the house into the parking lot and beat me with baseball bats. Yes, Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I must have been at the top of he heap.

It was a set-up. I didn't realize it, until after I was saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and given the commission by Him that I am slowly beginning to fulfill this day. All of those sins I was allowed to commit was for a divine purpose. In 1992 I was convicted of felony forgery. I was placed on 5 years probabation. I violated that probation by leaving the state in which the conviction toook place. While in that state, I was caught by the local authorities. I was locked up inside the county jail awaiting extradition. While in the jail that night, I sat on the end of a metal bunk and made the first prayer I had ever made in recent memory to God I did not know.

Through tears I prayed to God to take my life. I prayed to Him to end it because I had came to realize what a mess I had made of it. I hated my life and I hated myself and only death, I felt would release me from the pain and mental anguish that I was feeling. At that moment, I saw a light shining through the slit window i the prison door and that beam of light fell on a Bible that was laying beside me on the bed. It was one of those "Gideon" Bibles that you find in most hotel rooms around the country. I automatically picked up the Bible, and it opened to the Book of John , Chapter 14 . Right then, and there I begin to read as the Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples how, in His Father's house that there were many mansions and that He had gone there to prepare a place for them. I read the part where He assured them that anything they asked in His name, He would give them. I read where He promised them the gift of the Holy Spirit and that He would leave them with peace - told them not to be afraid or have their hearts troubled. And when I came to the Scripture that read, in Chapter 15 , " Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends ," I fell to my knees and wept. and immediately in a vision, I appeared in the upper room on that night and heard those words again spoken in the voice of Jesus Christ - my Lord and my God...

That night, in the Spokane County Jail in Spokane, Washington on 14 February 1997, I gave my life over to Jesus Christ and became His servant forever.

The reason why I was allowed to commit and experience all of the sins that I committed in the past is that what better representative of the Kingdom of God - you can think of - one who can reach out to those who are addicted to cocaine and crack? What better repesentative of the Kingdom of god - you can think of - who can reach out to the ones who are in prison, or reach out to the convicted felon who is having trouble getting a job, or the womanizer, or the alcoholic or whoever else who is committing all manner of vice? Who else, you can think of? I was allowed to commit these sins for a reason. And with this testimony, God has intended to save many through it.

The Lord Jesus Christ saved my life in February of 1997. And He, alone, is the one who commissioned me to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God without partiality and without holding back anything in the Word of God. To Him I owe my allegiance. To Him I owe my life. To Him will I serve all of the days of my life. And I am prepared to die for him and this Gospel that I preach. " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth ,” ( Romans 1:16 KJV).

To my friends, here on Yahoo 360 (and you know who you are), you have made my experience here on this page enjoyable and rewarding as I continue to spread the Good News of Christ's coming Kingdom. I look forward to continued friendship with you and I pray that there has been something written here that has given you peace, given you hope, edified and encouraged you and educated you and enlightened you. Amnd for a few of you, I hope that something I have written in these blogs has planted a seed in your conscious that will lead you to a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and salvation in His Precious Name through His precious blood.

For those who are spreading so much discord and hatred on the pages of my 360 friends, I have already given you God's warning concerning you. You have no idea what you are doing when you come on this page, slander me and call me such awful names. You have no idea that the person you are attacking is not me, but Christ that lives in me. " The world cannot hate you; but Me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil ,” ( John 7:7 KJV). Know this: that as long as I am in the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, as long as I am fulfilling the commission that He had given me back in 1997, and as long as I keep sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord ,” (Isaiah 54:17 KJV). I am INVINCIBLE and nothing that you do to me or say against me or any of my friends, will have any effect on them, on me or the ministry on this page. If I am on this page for personal ambition, or some other evil purpose, the Lord will expose me for the fraud that I am. But if my purpose on this page is of a truly divine nature, you are going to find yourselves fighting against the Creator of the Universe, Himself! " Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to naught: but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God ” ( Acts 5:38,39 KJV).

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless each and everyone of my friends who have came into my defense and have supported me more times than I cam name and may the Lord bless anyone else who comes to this page. May my personal testimony plant a spiritual seed that may grow and lead another precious soul to the feet of the One who unselfishly gave His life for the Salavation of the world. Glory to the Lord, who I give all praise, and all the honore and all the glory! Amen.

My brother your testimony is very uplifting. Continue to complete the work God has established for you. Do not worry about those that attack you. Jesus told us that they will hate us as they did him. It is just a trial of your faith, which is being tested with the world's fire. But we are to rejoice and counted all joy. Praise God...I'm a bit choked up. You see I was the kid that tried to do it right and got hurt in the church. I was the kid that was for real about loving Jesus but there was something missing. See 30 years ago when I got saved MEN IN CHRIST had not fully arrived and so I loved the Lord but didn't express it because Real Men Love JESUS but they didn't worship and praise him and adoration for the lover of their soul was an inward expression. I was filled with the Holy Ghost but thought something was wrong with me because I wanted to leap in the name of Jesus but REAL MEN didn't do that and those from the church of old still don't but thank God these yougn people know how to get a praise through and how to be a lover of Jesus Christ. Your testimony shouldn't elicit hate but great love. YOU ARE THE PROOF that GOD CAN WASH YOU WHITER THAN SNOW. The haters that you speak of are on assignment and they keep you sharp. The truth is you  are a soul winner because you can speak from a position of authority. YOU"VE BEEN THERE !!! These perfect people who been holy all their lives can't give a powerful testimony over the overcoming and deliverance power of God because they ain't been through nothing.

 

I bless God for MAKING IT OVER...I was abused in all manner of ways and the devil had a hit out on me but God blocked it. When the world tried to change the natural into unnatural...GOD TOLD ME THAT THE VERDICT WAS OVERTURNED ON APPEAL !!!

 

You got me ready to shout because you went transparent and you figured out how to unlock deliverance in those held hostage to the things of the world and open the doorway to VICTORY.

 

YOU GO MAN OF GOD...I'm praising God for your 14 years of sobriety and deliverance.

My Dear Brother in the Lord,

       I have read your testimony and am pleased that you were willing to share it with whomever is willing to read it.  However, I would like to encourage you further in your walk.  There are many believers who have committed such terrible sins and crimes against humanity that yours would seem like a walk in the park.  I am sure that it did not seem that way for you and it still does not but you are very hard on yourself.  First of all, whatever you have done is past.  And Scripture tells me that the old is past and the new has come.  You are no longer that person if you have been born again of the Spirit.  There is no way that you can be a blood washed, blood bought child of the King and still be a sinner.  If that were the case, then you would have no chance of ever entering the gates of heaven.  The power of Christ's sacrifice was so powerful that it has cleansed you and me from our sins forever and God has cast them as far as the east is from the west.  Secondly, you were allowed to commit the crimes against God and humanity without being totally destroyed because of God's great love for you that transcended whatever you felt for yourself.  It was that love that sent Jesus through the generations to suffer bleed and die just to save you and me.  It was that same love that extended grace and mercy to us instead of what we deserved because God knew the time and what it would take to bring you to this decision for Him.  And finally, do not allow yourself to listen to or comment on the negative habits of others.  Pray for them that the same grace that brought you salvation will one day capture their hearts and they will no longer find joy in striking out at others.  I pray that you continue strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  I praise God for you!
