"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to [gather] your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.'" Luke 13: 35

The time is coming when not only will the rocks cry out, but, Jerusalem herself will cry out, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." Jerusalem herself awaits the fulfillment of all the prophecies concering her that are written in the scriptures both the desolations and the restorations! Desolations before AD 70 and desolations after AD 70 will be repaired! As it is written,

"And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations. And they shall repair the ruined cities, the [desolations of many generations]." Isaiah 61:4

For example, the prophet Isaiah prophesied, by the Spirit of the Lord, that when the Lord returns from Heaven Jerusalem will be called by a [new name].

"...You [Jerusalem] shall be called by a [new name], which the mouth of the Lord will name." Isaiah 62:2

No longer will it be called the [city of peace] alone, but, after the Lord brings all wars to an end and fills the whole earth with His glory and peace, but it will be renamed [Shammah] according to another prophet who testified:

"...and the name of the city from [that day] shall be: THE LORD IS THERE." Ezekiel 48:35.

In Shammah, that is Zion, not only will the Spirit of the Lord be [there] but the immortal Body of the Lord will be [there] also! Will we be there? John 14:3

Shall the Lord descend from Heaven and remain in the [air] forever, as some in the Body believe and thereby never returning to the earth? How then shall He plant His feet on the Mount of Olive if He remains in the air? What does the prophecy of scripture declare?

Let the Scriptures be true and every private interpreter, like you and I, a liar! II Peter 1:19-21

"Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was [taken up] from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the [mount called Olivet], which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey." Acts 1:11, 12

More details about the Lord's descension from Heaven is described by the prophet Zechariah in these words:

"Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in [the day of battle]. And in [that day] His feet will stand on the [Mount of Olives], which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the [Mount of Olives] shall be split in two, from east to west. making a very large valley; Half of it toward the north and half of it toward the south." Zechariah 14:3,4

When will the Lord's feet stand on the Mount of Olives? The same day He comes with His saints! As it is written,

"Thus the Lord my God [will come], and [all the saints] with You." Zechariah 14:5b cf. I Thessalonians 4:14-18

What does the prophet mean when he testified saying:

"It shall be [one day] which is known to the Lord--neither day nor night. But at evening time it shall happen that it will be light." Zechariah 14:7

That day is called the [day of battle] likened unto the day of battle when the [sun stood still] for Joshua, a type of Yeshua, Jesus when the Lord [repaid] Israel's enemies. As it is written,

"So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies." Joshua 10:13

Shall not the Lord repay Israel's enemies of our generations who are seeking her desolation even to this day?

The apostle Paul, mindful of the words of the prophets, foretold these things to the Church, especially to the Gentile members of the Church (Romans 11:13), when he warned, by the prophetic scriptures, that when the [fullness of the nations has come in] to destroy the land of Israel then the Lord will remember His covenant with His people. Romans 11:25-29 cf. Isaiah 59:20,21

Isaiah boldly said,

"When the [enemy comes in like a flood], the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19b

Are you, without ceasing, praying for the peace of Jerusalem? Is the Spirit of Christ in you yet groaning in the inward parts saying, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem?" Psalm 122:6-9

The Lord would not have us ignorant of this mystery! The Kingdom shall be restored to Israel. Acts 1:6 cf. Romans 11:25-29
