When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown!
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:2 & 3a NLT
Deep waters, great troubles, rivers of difficulty, fires of oppression and flames can not destroy, consume, drown or burn up they who continually abide in the presence of the Lord and stand upon His word of promise. The Almighty is our refuge, strength and very present help.
He never said that we would not go through. However He did promised to be with us and not let us be destroyed or be consumed. He preserves and keeps us through the worst. He is that kind of God. He is our keeper. The deep waters, great troubles, rivers of difficulty and flames of oppression did not come from the Lord. The Lord our God is not chaotic and He is not heartless and cruel toward His children. It is the enemy sent these to destroy us. But that is the kind of devil that he is. But our God is greater.
We pass through deep waters, great troubles, faith challenging rivers of difficulty and the fires of oppression but He, our Heavenly Father, did not intend for us to stay there. The “going through,” is the catalyst of transformation that ushers us into our place of destiny and land of promise. Resistance from the enemy is greatest when we are closest to the point of breakthrough.
You are so close. Don’t let go now. Press your way into the presence of the Lord. Do not allow all that you have gone through to become wasted effort by quitting. One minute at a time, one step at a time, one victory at a time. Keep pressing through. The dust will settle and the smoke will clear. Rain and trouble will both cease because they were not made to last always. You are destined for greatness. Having done all, stand! Amen!
