PEACE

At first, I thought of peace as being a strong word. It is a strong word, but also a serene word. Think about it. Mark 4:38-40 describe it best. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him and say unto him, Master carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea PEACE BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Just when you think you can’t sleep at night, just say within yourself, “Peace in the name of Jesus.” Believe me, I know that it works. Because Jesus is real! Don’t let the devil steal your peace! I’ve tried it! And I know that he is real. When you have troubles and trials on every side, call on Jesus and He will give you peace. John 14:27 states, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. We don’t have to be afraid or wonder what’s going to happen. Just give it to Jesus and leave it there. Matthew 11:28-30 states, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and heavy laden, I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. So when you’re going through many trials, and you can’t seem to get an understanding, pray for peace throughout your trials. The trials we face everyday can never measure what Jesus went through. Even on the cross, dying, this is what Jesus said, Luke 23:34 states, “Then said Jesus, Father forgive them, they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” How can we not have peace? He left us peace when he died on the cross. He left us a Comforter, The Holy Ghost. John 14:16 states, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; So you see that all you have to do is ask, and you can receive. John 14:13-14 states, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. All you have to do is ask, and we can have it. It just takes faith. Phil. 4:7 states, “And the peace of God passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So when you’re feeling down, just remember God is just a prayer away and He will give you peace.
