We may all be going to Hell because we are all disrespectful in some way or another.

How are you today? I am a true lover of all people and all races. I am concerned that there are people in our society that have some hints or even inklings of disrespect toward other races. I am sure this is not true, but to satisfy my humble concern I would like to share this message I wrote last night for my outreach coordinator. Thank you for considering this message today. Have a very good day:

The way to win a friend is to show kindness to them. The best starting point to show kindness is to give respect. In saving souls the idea is to make a friend. Try not to be concerned about who's name they believe upon, what church they go to, what political party they support, or what color they are. Try to give the utmost best respect you can to their decisions even if their life choices are different than yours. Why do that you may ask? Because respect can only be called respect if it is given truly. If you cannot give real respect then you are acting and not being a true friend. This is hard to swallow for some because we want to sway others to the truth - we want to get them thinking our way. But we don't have to try to close the deal every time. Just plant a seed of friendship for starters.

Here is a brain teaser: not one soul has been save through disrespect. And to add to your amazement: if we honestly give our true and utmost best respect then you will win a friend every time, and then that friend can start to see the way, the truth, and the life (I am speaking of Jesus) in you.

So, reveal your truest respect and you will be revealing Jesus -- and that's the goal!!! I would like to present a prophetic respect that we can possess in Jesus. I am speaking of a supernatural respect that brings the presence of the Lord. How can we possess this? Well it is like getting anything from Jesus. We have to be desperate for it; it is completely a gift that our efforts cannot obtain; and, here is a bonus: in the process of receiving supernatural respect we also gain a closer walk with Christ!!! Other hints to receiving the prophetic respect is that one must know that it cannot be used for selfish gain of any kind.

What does this respect I am speaking of look like? How does it work? The core of it is rooted in humility towards one another. I want to put out a notice right here in the middle of this paragraph: This invitation is for all humanity. The Lord is calling all humanity to a deeper respect toward one another. Praise God!!! A couple of lyrics to a Christian song that I remember goes like this: "A broken heart and a contrite spirit - you have yet to deny." This is also a bible verse: Psalm 51:17
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.
NASB

Well who else on earth can deny this coming from a person? Perhaps no one. This song lyric gets to the heart of what prophetic respect is. Seek God for a truer respect, a humbler respect, and win some friends.

A prophetic respect equals the absence of all power. We cannot think to ourselves that we are right and "they" are wrong with an attitude that we are smarter than "them". We are no smarter than anyone! And we should not even be thinking on terms of "they" or "them" as being labels of people. Look not for labels but look for a description of a people type and celebrate differences; be amazed at God's genius and creativity in the world's variety. We can call a group of people "un-churched", but what is in our heart when we say this? Is there any lack of respect? I can say for myself that there probably still remains some hints of disrespect. Why is this in my heart? It was given to me by broken, weak, imperfect leadership. I forgive them.

Is your respect perfected? Are you partnering with Jesus in giving your deepest and mightiest respect to all men equally? If not, please consider asking Jesus for this deeper friendship that is available to you upon hearing this message.

Thank you,

Bill Braunlich
