THE UNCTION TO FUNCTION

“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” I John 2:20 (KJV)

A few weeks ago my husband and I attended a concert. Those men onstage captured the essence of what moves our souls to worship. It was extraordinary and for a moment, I was able to go to a place within myself and understand exactly what it is I am looking for in the worship experience. When all participants are operating in their unction to function, it is as if you are being swept into the presence with little or no effort. You are there—mind fully engaged, senses on high alert—your entire being poised to give glory and honor to Elohim!!!

Noah Webster defines unction as the act of anointing; and, the anointing that excites piety and devotion. True worship should excite piety and devotion. No theatrics—just pure excitement to be in God’s presence. With all of life’s distractions, it is good to just be able to run into that secret place of worship to recharge your faith, renew your commitments, and receive your own unction.

Why don’t you stop what you’re doing right now and give him 60 seconds of your undivided attention and worship Him for the great, big, God that He is? Don’t ask for anything—you’ve got all you need. Just get in His presence and experience the fullness of joy that only He can bring.

Basking in the overflow,

Pastor Kathy
