ATLANTA, GA – SEPTEMBER 28, 2009, Man… what a show! An unforgettable evening. “The Celebration of Praise Concert” was a big success for Davant Entertainment Group, Inc., last week in Atlanta, GA at the Atlanta Civic Center on September 11, 2009, hosted by Larry Tinsley from V-103 FM - Atlanta’s People Station.

The new promoters Kelvin Grant, Tim Davis, Mike David Sr., Mike Davis Jr., Mike A. Davis (cousin) and Vivian Majors really knew how to put on a quality showcase for their first big event. Viewers came from all over to see this exciting lineup of entertainers featuring Gospel newest sensation Benaiah Samples rendered inspirational messages-in-songs like “Lord You Are” and “I Hear the Sound” as only she can. The crowd loved her and gave her a standing ovation when she finished!

Jimmy Robinson took the show to another level with his wonderful, powerful, melodic voice. I mean this brother can sing like nobody’s business. A must see. He sang songs “I Call You Holy” and “I Was Design To Praise” and “God Is Great.” He did a fantastic job!

Divine Faith Ministries Church Choir showed up and showed out to do their thing. The choir has what takes to win souls for the Lord. They were outstanding and gave me chills up and down my spine! In the audience sat Pastor Donald E. Battle and his wife of 34 years, Gwen Battle graced our presence. Nice to see you out Pastor and First Lady.

Dottie Peoples is an untouchable songstress who is so down to earth and exciting to watch perform. She has “it” going on. She looked marvelous as she spread the spirit of the Lord to the audience performing songs like “He Meant It For... Thank You,” “He Said It” and “He’s an On Time God” leaving an awesome impression on my spirit forever. Great job Dottie!

Bishop Paul S. Morton from Greater St. Stevens held the place down with “Let it Rain,” ”Cry Your Last Tear,” and “Don’t Do It Without Me”. Not only is he a great preacher but he’s a great singer. I was truly moved in the spirit when he sung “Let it Rain”. That’s my favorite song of all times. I felt my eyes close and my head tilt back, as my arms reached out for the Lord to carry me home. I was truly touched by his performance because I never witnessed his ministry before live in person. Now, I’m glad I did.

Yolanda Adams, what can I say? She is amazing to see live in concert! She’s infectious with boundless optimism and spirituality. She is so gifted with talent to share song and testimony that I was moved by her performance. I couldn’t believe how tall she was in person. I understand her purpose. She is truly blessed and I know God is well pleased with her ministry. The woman is no joke. She’s the real deal. You have to see her at least once in your life time to get what she has to give her heart and soul through music. You would love her.

All in all… My hats go off to Davant Entertainment Group for putting their best foot forward. I know it wasn’t easy but you pressed on anyway. I look forward to your next show.
