Real Deal

In our churches today, many people think that they have it going on when actually they profess only religion. In Jn. 3, Nicodemus had a high position, however he was missing something. In our churches today, the same thing is taking place. There are many who have become lovers of their position within the church than the person of the church, Jesus Christ. Many churches have people in them that are religious, but they have trouble in the area of spirituality. Keep in mind that religion is nothing but a continual and consistent way of doing things. Religion is hindering a lot of churches because people fail to understand that there is a danger in having religion without relationship.Nicodemus knew of God, (we know that thou art a teacher come from God), but he did not know the real deal. When one have religion and not relationship, one will also lack spiritual understanding. Nicodemus did not have an idea what Jesus was talking about. As a matter of fact, Jesus was on spiritual level whereas Nicodemus was on a physical level.(Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?) How many people in our churches today fit this category? In closing, the main way for change to come about is that one must stay spiritual. When this takes place, spirituality will overide religion. That's the REAL DEAL!
