By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

Our biggest issue in regards to obtaining the promise is not with it being given to us by God. But the real issue lies with our ability to receive. Some times what God has for us is sitting right in front of us and we fail to either see or recognize it to be God’s effort to bless us. The upsetting thing is that when we finally realize that it was the Lord the blessing it has already passed us by. This is tragic but true too often.

Unbelief, the fear of making a mistake and believing ourselves to be undeserving will always talk us out of position to obtain the blessing. Some times we linger too long on past failures and we develop a negative mental stigma that nullifies and disables our faith. This will also take us out of right position and posture to receive and shuts down Gods ability to do for us what He has promised. Yes, as powerful as the Almighty is; we however are the ones who determine what we will receive in life. The word of God states that the Almighty “has” given us everything that we need. It is ours already. If it has been given then it is already a done deal.

Fear and wrong thinking is what blinds. We can know the will of God for our life and still be deprived of the life and blessing of God. Fear and wrong thinking will put us on the defensive. When we are on the defensive we then become skeptics and severely question everything. When we are in that mode; we also become highly resistant and reluctant to receiving anything; even that which comes to us from God.

Unbelief is the thief that keeps us lacking. Limited perspective is unbelief’s best friend. It is time to enlarge and expand the borders of our mental and spiritual territories by the enlightenment of truth in the inward parts. Prepare for increase. Increase does not start externally but it begins internally. That which is birthed within our spirit man is what enables us to realize God given opportunities.

Yes, take the time to discern the will of God but don’t get so caught up with the fearful thought of failure. Believe that God is a bigger than our mess-ups if we do and believe there is nothing too hard for Him to rectify if we will receive His correction. The Almighty has already anticipated our every decision. Everything has already been put in place to compensate for and amend our every missed step.

We have missed the will of God in times past. We still live and God still has a plan for our lives. It not our first time and it will not be our last time to stumble. But it is time for us to move forward. God will always bring us back on course to that which He has for us when what’s within our hearts is right and we are positioned and willing to receive from Him. God is good and His mercies endure forever. It is already ours. Posture and position your self before the Lord. Receive it! Amen!
