So you say that you are anointed. Your ministry is relevant. Really? If that's the case then you will agree that God's hand on US, changes the hearts and lives of OTHERS. “The king gave all that he asked, for God's hand was on Ezra” (Ezra 7:6).

The African American church, and community, must change our understanding and attitude about what it means to change lives, by re-evaluating our impact. There is an old proverb that says,"if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish you feed him for a life time. Smart generosity is Christian. It honors people's dignity. If you take responsibility FOR them you take it FROM them &create dependent victims. No wonder where some live is called the 'projects', because it is just that a project: something that is contemplated, devised, or planned; plan; scheme. It provides people with the very bare necessities of life; shelter and food stamps. For the relevant church, we know that the poor need opportunity not just charity,a hand-up,not a hand-out,partners not patrons, free markets not free money, trade not just aid. All acts strengthen habits. The more sin is acted, the more it is strengthened. So with our gifts and graces. Understand that the church is at war. There will be casualities. God is good.
