Though a mighty army surrounds me,
my heart will not be afraid.
Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident.
Psalm 27:2-3 NLT
Expect attacks from every angle. Expect the enemy’s assaults to intensify as we progress and draw closer to that which the Lord has purposed for us. But do not be intimidated or discouraged by the sight of what appears to be. It will not stand and it cannot prevail.
The psalmist stated, “Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.” This should be our resolve also. Weak or strong, up or down, in or out; it is decision that we have to make and not allow circumstances or the wiles of the enemy to decide for us. Eternal God, His Word and His Spirit are within us. God is for us. In spite of all appearances the Lord is not against us and neither has he abandoned or forsaken us. Neither will He neglect us.
It may look like it’s over but its not. Hold the course. Bring in to subjection every thought or idea that would provoke doubt, wavering or discouragement. Our God is not weak and we were not set up to fail. Let us gird up the loins of our mind and bring our thinking back into subjection and agreement to the word of the Almighty.
Declare and decree it according Job 22:28 that it is so and it shall be. Amen!
