There is much to restore when a spirit of disobedience has invaded the thoughts and actions of a seeking saint or leader of a practicing ministry. As one yields, to the voice of disobedience and ‘selfwilled-ness’, they go forward in a direction that is not given by God...but given by their own selfish desires and manmade opinions. The flesh of man wars with the Spirit of God because of its desires and fleshly lust. Yielding to lust of the eye, (internal man), lust of the flesh, (natural man) and the pride of life (what can I do for me) will result in following after the flesh and eventual and inevitable spiritual death and sometimes natural death. (KJV 1 Jn 1:16) The spirit of rebellion has visited those because of the weakening of the spiritual wall of the Holy Spirit and the wicked heart of flesh because he thinks that he can build a stronghold. What he sees entices him because of the inkling of this desire that exposes itself as one walks through out daily life and succumbs to the beggarly elements in the choices that are made. Tickling our fancy or the desire to do it just this once, and allow our flesh to follow the antics that it will, careening our soul to certain shame, following after the god of this world which is not from our Savior, but is of this world alone.

As children of God, we are begotten by the Son, not to live after the flesh to fulfill the lust, but we are redeemed and belong to the Lord, and should walk in the Spirit (Gal 5:16). We must seek Him! His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Defining restoration, we find that it means a historical episode or event that happens when a previous government regains control over the current government over an area of jurisdiction. It also refers to the period directly after this episode occurs. So restoration is not only the event, but the time, the era.

God's grace is sufficient and his ears ever open to our cry. We are in the time of restoration. From the time of the death of Jesus until now, we can experience the grace of the Lord as he told death to behave. Sin has no dominion! For the government shall be on His shoulder. He took the keys of death, hell, and the grave solidly out of the hands of the enemy of our souls, making himself accessible to all that calls.

We can seek Him and find Him. (Is 55:6) So while he may be found, seek Him and he will restore everything that the cankerworm had eaten (Joel 1:4) the remnants of previous destruction, calamity and pain. So let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; he will abundantly pardon. Ahhh, yes, abundantly pardon. For our thoughts are not His thoughts, neither are our ways His ways. (Isaiah 55:7-8) Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith! (Heb 12:2a).

He is…our God is…able.
