SIMPLE OBJECTS

God often uses simple, ordinary objects to accomplish His tasks in the world. It is important only that we be dedicated to Him for His use. What do we have that God can use? Anything and everything is a possible "instrument" for Him.

A staff in Exodus 4:2-4. Moses used it to work miracles before Pharaoh.

Horns: Joshua 6:3-5 - Joshua used it to flatten the walls of Jericho.

A fleece: Judges 6:36-40 - Gideon used it to confirm God's will.

Horns, jars and torches: Judges 7:19-22 - Gideon used them to defeat the Midianites.

Jawbone: Judges 15:15 - Samson used it to kill 1,000 Philistines.

Smooth stone: 1 Samuel 17:40 - David used it to kill Goliath.

Olive oil: 2 Kings 4:1-7 - Elisha used it to demonstrate God's power to provide

A river: 2 Kings 5:9-14 - Elisha used it to heal a man of leprosy.

Linen belt: Jeremiah 13:1-11 - Jeremiah used it as an object lesson of God's wrath.

Clay jar: Jeremiah 19:1-13 - Jeremiah used it as an object lesson of God's wrath.

Iron griddle, water and food: Ezekiel 4:1-17 - Ezekiel used it as an object lesson of judgment.

Five loaves and two fish: Mark 6:30-44 - Jesus, fed a crowd over 5,000 people.
