Worldly distractions limit our practice of the spiritual disciplines. Which distractions do you fight--constant noise, doubt, procrastination, busyness, work, or even fear of what God may
ask of you?

Messages from society attempt to convience us we don’t need prayer, quiet time, simplicity, or worship. The
world tells us we, not God, are in control of who we become. Human knowledge seems impressive- even awesome. But when it comes to tomorrow, our knowledge plunges to zero. Tomorrow lies hidden in the depths of God's unfathomable intricately interwoven plan. Is your trust in God, your attitude of dependence, sufficiently stable to sustain you regardless? The Bible clearly states "no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" (I Corinthians 2:9).

Take the time to ask yourself and reflect on where you are in your walk with God. Ask youself: What activities, tools or tasks hinder you from living a life of self discipline?

What changes could you see occurring if you were more disciplined about growing closer to God?

I believe God is calling us to check our motives, why do we preach this Gospel? Is it for worldly gain, or to push our own agendas. Our main objective is "SOULS" Prov. 11 "and he who wins souls is wise" Time is not long and "THE DAY OF THE LORD" is vastly approaching.

Let me encourage the people of God to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith to direct you in the way you should go. Discipline yourself to fasting and praying seek the face of God, for if you seek His face He will show you His hand.
