Tell the Devil, I'm still in this fight!
I am posting this blog from a place of encouragement. When I got this Word, I knew that it was a Word for the New Year. Although I get a lot of messages, this one I knew was right for this space and I had to share right away. My Pastor declared that we were in a season of warfare. The enemy does not want us to make it to a new year. It seems as if all hell has broken loose in our lives and in the lives of our families. But I have found consolation in this familiar passage of scripture, 2 Corinthians 10:5.
I want to address this to those that have been feeling defeated lately and most of the year. The ones that it seems like God hasn't answered and the enemy is steadily gaining ground in your life. This is for the ones who are going through the biggest fights of your lives, and every time you turn around, if it isn't one thing, it's ten. This is the way I have been feeling lately. Crippled under the pressures of Warfare! Let me speak this into your spirit.
The Word says that the "Weapons of our Warfare are not Carnal" ..... We have to understand as SAINTS of the Most High God, God's ways are not like our ways. He can take something that we think so insignificant and something that we use everyday and make that one of our most powerful weapons. For it was in the midst of my praise and worship that I realized I had a weapon that intimidates and confuses the enemy.
"But are Mighty through God".... You mean to tell me that the more I praise the mightier I become. Oh yes, the more you praise, the better you feel. Weights are lifted and those things that the enemy presented to you that were so devastating and left you in despair, all of a sudden, you begin to see them as the MIRAGES they are.
"To the Pulling Down of STRONGHOLDS. Casting down IMAGINATIONS and every High thing that Exalteth itself before the Knowledge of God"..... Oh my God this is getting better. So then the more I praise, the more I take back the authority and power I gave the thing that the enemy was holding over my head. I begin to walk in the authority to tear down those idols, those lies, those obstacles that he tried to erect in my life. Those are the things that try to keep us so crippled and defeated; we forget what God has said about our lives. It is the enemy's job to keep us so entangled with this world that we forget we are world changers and world possessors.
"And bringing into CAPTIVITY every THOUGHT to the OBEDIENCE of CHRIST! I think I like this part the most. Your praise has the power to bind the enemy with the same bands he tried to bind you with and then make him obey or become a part of the destiny that God has for us. Oh you better shout right there! See the Obedience of God has everything to do with His plans for your life. It has everything to do with your Destiny. And no matter what the enemy may try to do to get you off track, no matter what blow he may try to hit you with...God says it has all got to work out for your good.
I have found revelation in my praise. My praise is not just to glorify God, but it benefits me just as much as it benefits God. Your praise fights for you! And when the enemy thinks that he is just about to take you out, turn on your praise and watch the devil scatter! You're still in this fight and in the end, YOU WIN!
