After spending a countless number of days, weeks, months and even years of doing things my own way, I truly discovered that the safest place on earth really is in the "will of God." You will never experience the fullness of life that was purposed by God until you "buy it"; buy into what God has said concerning your life. As I presently look at the church, I'm constantly reminded of the position of the church, where the church is today versus where God originally positioned the church. I'm afraid that today the message of "The Gospel" has been diminished down to nothing more than a man-centered orientation instead of that of a Christ-centered. It's amazing to see how far we have drifted from God's original plans and purposes. The results of which point to a lack of understanding ones "spiritual identity." So many have fallen prey to the symptoms of not knowing who they are in the Kingdom of God. Such symptoms will have individuals building kingdoms for themselves where they would much rather promote "flesh" than to exalt the risen Saviour and advance the Kingdom of God. This happens when there's an absence of an altar in our individual lives.

In the book of 1 Chronicles 12:32 - the Bible declares that the sons of Issachar were men that had an "understanding" of the times, to know what Isreal ought to do (paraphrased). With that being said, I believe that were in a season where God is raising up consecrated men and women of God who will walk in apostolic and prophetic anointings and mantles to declare the original plans and purposes of God over against the plans and purposes of diabolical assignments that come to distract, detour, and even destroy.

If you will let’s take a journey down into Egypt with Abraham and Sarah and see the Word unfold in the absence of an altar. Abraham thought Egypt would be his place of provision in the midst of famine. Instead it became a place of sin for him. Abraham, the friend of God and the father of faith, endangered his wife and compromised his character to be accepted. When his sin was exposed and he was sent from Egypt, there was one priority on his mind – to build an altar.

In the absence of an altar you will be drawn away from God. You must have a place designated as praying ground where you can thank God, as well as wrestle with the will of the flesh. If you’ve lost your faith, or lost your courage; if you’ve been hooked up with the wrong people, in the wrong place, and doing the wrong things, you have some building to do. The absence of an altar will affect you and everything connected to you, just as it did Abraham. Your answers, your healing, and your direction are at the altar. I encourage you to pull yourself up, build your altar and get back to the original plans within your relationship with God. For it is in that place where clarity is revealed, you are equipped and empowered to carry out your assignment in the earth. God Bless all of you.

Your brother and friend,
Apostle Corey
