The Blessing of God

by Bayo Omoyiola, Jr

The Blessing of the LORD makes rich and adds no sorrow.
- Proverbs 10:22

Do you know that the Blessing of the LORD can make you rich and that it adds no sorrow? Yea, the overwhelming Blessing of our LORD makes rich and adds no sorrow. When God blesses a man, he empowers him. So a blessed man of the LORD is one who has been empowered by the LORD. The blessed man knows no sorrow because the very life of God makes him happy and joyful all the time. God wants to make your life a blessed one.

The Blessed life

A truly blessed life is a life that fears God and keeps his commandments. That life enjoys the unlimited blessings of God in every area of his life. The blessing includes all the nine elements of the fruit of the Spirit. That means – the blessed life enjoys unlimited LOVE, PEACE, JOY, GOODNESS and all the other elements of the fruit.
Now, that`s what I call amazing. It`s wonderful. Isn`t it? The Blessing of the LORD makes rich and adds no sorrow at all. That tells me that - all the sufferings and sorrows in your life are not part of the Blessing package of the LORD. Yeah! The sufferings and the sorrows of man came as a result of the fall of Adam. It wasn’t part of the original plan or intent of God. God`s original intention was for all men to live in his glory all the time. That means it was his will for you and I to enjoy unlimited JOY & GLADNESS in his presence at all time. For the scriptures makes us to know that in God`s presence there is fullness of JOY and LIFE forevermore. It was God`s will and it is still his will. Hallelujah!

The River and the Glory

The glory of God always carry his blessings. That is why anytime you praise God with all your hearts, he blesses you. The river of God flows and brings life & abundant blessings wherever it flows. God inhabits the praises of his people and each time we welcome him with our praise and worship, he comes around and makes his dwelling with us. He tabernacles with us and blesses us.

The Word

'The Blessing' of God is the good word God has spoken. When God wants to bless a man, he speaks good words to the man. Those words grow and germinate and yield fruits and the man becomes so blessed that it becomes visible to the human eyes that he is truly, truly blessed. An outward manifestation of the blessing is seen and men around become witnesses to the fact that God has blessed that man. Abraham was such a man. He walked with God and God blessed him. God spoke good words to him. He believed God and became the father of many nations. Today, the whole world has been blessed by Abraham. He did not only enjoy God`s prosperity, he also enjoyed posterity. God blessed his children, his children`s children and all their generations.

Faith and Obedience

'The Blessing of God' comes upon a man who believes in God and keeps his commandments. You must have faith in GOD and that faith must lead you to a place where you can start acting upon the word of God. You must put his word into practice in order to be blessed. For faith without works is dead. God said - if you will hearken to the voice of his word, he will bless you and make all his blessings to come on you and overtake you. (Deut 28: 1-14). God wants to bless us beyond measure. He desires to bless us exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think of. But he requires our obedience and faith. He wants you to be a doer of the word. He needs your positive confessions. He wants you to walk by faith all the time. He expects you to give and keep on giving so he could multiply your harvest. You must pay your tithes, give to the poor and give offerings unto the LORD.
He said - give and it shall be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaking together, running over shall men give unto you. It is his will to bless you but he expects something from you. He wants you to release that which you have. He wants you to release that which he has given to you. He wants you to release that raw material with you so that he could make you what he wants you to be – rich and blessed.

Free but conditional

The Blessing is free but you have to pay the price of believing and acting upon the word of God. You can ask God for it but you must not stop there. You must continue to seek God for it and knocking his door for it until the door of abundance opens to you. The biblical figure called Solomon was such a blessed man. He met with God and offered a thousand burnt offering to him. God later came to him after he had offered so much and gave him an open cheque to ask for whatever he needs. God is giving you the same open cheque today. He wants you to ask him for whatever you need. He wants your needs to be met so that your joy may be full. So go ahead and ask him and keep seeking and knocking till the door opens.

Divine Protection

One heritage of the blessed man of the LORD is that he enjoys divine immunity. As long as the blessing is on him, he has divine immunity against the attacks of the enemy. God says – no weapon formed against him shall prosper and no evil shall befall him. So you see, there is a divine immunity and protection for the blessed man of the LORD. God fights for him by contending with them that contends with him. Whatever the man does prospers and he is not affected by drought, famine or anything that affects national or world economy. There is always a divine covering over his life and he prospers all the time.

Progress

Finally, I want you to know that the blessed man of the LORD is always advancing. The blessings and the mercies of God are always new upon his life. Therefore he is always progressing, moving higher and conquering new lands.

Prophecy:

It is my prayer that you enjoy the unlimited blessings of God everyday of your life. I pray that the windows of heaven would be opened unto you continually and that you enjoy the lavish & extravagant grace of God in your life. As you give, may you increase. As you obey God, may he bless you. As he blesses you, may you advance in life and fulfill the great destiny & plans God has for you. It shall be well with you in Jesus name. The multi-breasted God would meet your needs. You will eat from the fat of heaven and would be made fat. The resources of heaven would always be made available to you and you will increase and have no lack in Jesus name. God will guide you in the day time and lead you at night. His mercies will speak for you and his grace will envelope you all the days of your life. God will be your rear-guard. He will be your shield against the wiles of the devil. He will protect you and you will not suffer attacks from the hands of the enemy. My God will rain his blessings upon you all the days of your life. You will be greatly blessed in Jesus name. (Amen)
