The Center of God's Will

by Bayo Omoyiola, Jr

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man
- Psalm 118:8

Have you ever sought for the will of GOD concerning your life and yearned to be in the center of his will? I believe you have. You have tried the shortcuts and at times, you took the long path and yet you couldn’t find it. You must hear this:

There is no short-cut

The truth is - there is no shortcut to be in the center of his will. If you check the chapters of the scriptures, you will find out that Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter. Psalm 118, the center of the bible is just beside it. If you were searching for shortcut, you have missed it. The will of GOD is not too far from you. It is just waiting for you. Just take a little step of faith and move to the next level

It doesn’t matter how far you have gone

The longest chapter of the bible is Psalm 119. The center of the bible, Psalm 118 is just before. Perhaps, you have gone very far in the wrong direction seeking the will of GOD for your life, not knowing you have just missed it. It was in the path that you overlooked. It’s not too late; you can retrace your steps.

It all has to do with trust

The centre of the bible is Psalm 118. There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118 and 594 chapters after it. Psalm 118 is the centre chapter of the bible but the real or actual center actually falls on Psalm 118:8. One thing I find amazing about the verse is that it has to with trusting the LORD. It says – It is better to trust the LORD than to trust man. Isn’t that amazing? That tells me – the will of GOD for our lives is tied to trusting him.

The only way

Are you searching for the will of GOD for your life? Trust the LORD. Have you found the will of GOD for you life? I will say – keep trusting the LORD. You must know this. The will of GOD is only one. There are not many ways. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Beloved, broad is the way that leads to destruction; avoid it. Narrow is the way that leads to salvation and life. The way may seem narrow but it is the only approved by GOD; follow it. Men will disappoint you but GOD will not.
Indeed it is better to trust the LORD than to trust men.

Benefits of Trusting GOD

There are many benefits of trusting the LORD. If you trust GOD, he will be with you and if he abides with you, he will fight for you. (What then shall we say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31). He will also give you satisfaction, perfect peace and joy. He will lead you and guide you, become your shepherd and take care of all your needs. He will restore you and make you enjoy all the benefits, promises and prosperity attached to being his heir. GOD loves you so much. In fact, his entire mind is full of you and he
is willing to bless you.

My Prayer for you

I pray that you will be able to comprehend the
length, width, height and depth of his will in love. I pray that you enjoy the unlimited blessings of GOD everyday of your life as you stay in the center of the will of GOD by trusting him. I pray that the windows of heaven would be opened unto you continually and that you enjoy the lavish & extravagant grace of GOD in your life. As you trust him, may you increase. As you obey GOD, may he bless you. As he blesses you, may you advance in life and fulfill the great destiny & plans GOD has for you. It shall be well with you in Jesus name. The multi-breasted GOD would meet your needs. You will eat from the fat of heaven and would be made fat. The resources of heaven would always be made available to you and you will increase and have no lack in Jesus name. GOD will guide you in the day time and lead you at night. His mercies will speak for you and his grace will envelope you all the days of your life. GOD will be your rearguard. He will be your shield against the wiles of the devil. He will protect you and you will not suffer attacks from the hands of the enemy. My GOD will rain his blessings upon you all the days of your life. You will be greatly blessed in Jesus name as you abide in the centre of his will. (Amen)
