The Cost of Discipleship is High!!!

My Pastor dropped a powerful nugget in his text on yesterday morning. He made a statement I would like to share with all who come to this site. The statement -- The cost of discipleship is high.

You can find the scripture reference for this in St. Luke 14:25-27 and verse 33. Notice the strong language.."hate" and "forsake" in the text. Christ used these two words referring to preference and priority. To show us how strong our love has to be for him, over all. As Christians we have been called out, set apart, and chosen by God. We are not our own, but belong to Him. I ask you – is the price too high and do you feel that we are still holding onto this truth as Disciples of Christ. What do you think?
